For all those who've never seen a clown with outstanding diabolo skills, look no further. Jacob has asked me to post a video of himself, Nate Sharpes, and Eric Bates in their routine that they performed all summer with Circus Smirkus. I'm impressed...

Great to see diabolo in the circus. And not just a string climb and a high toss, but some really nice skills in there as well! And it was completely dropless! Congratulations with that fabulous act you guys. Great stuff!

That is without doubt the most technical diabolo clown act I have ever seen!

I like it, and i think that it´s one of the most artistic diabolo stages that i´ve seen in this forum(except tre´space ones but i´vent seen it here).
maybe i´m tired of watch a lot of technical stages instead of artistic ones.

Thanks for the compliments guys. Me and Jacob toured around New England with Circus Smirkus this summer, doing 80 shows in 8 weeks. The show told the story of Pinnochio (that was Pinnochio, the Cricket, and Gepetto who ran through mid-act) circus style. Unfortunately we didn't catch on tape the show when jacob threw a 441 into his 3 high and then finished without a drop

That was great
. The tricks were pulled off really smoothly, and I didn't see any drops. I really liked it

I saw that act performed live in a town in Massachusetts and was backstage at the AYCO when it went on in San Francisco. In MA there was just one drop, and I was thoroughly impressed. The rest of the audience didn't appreciate it as much, as they were mostly aged 5-7, or parents. At the AYCO, I think its safe to say that this act (though Nate was replaced by a similarly skilled diaboloist), recieved more applause than the entire shows final bow.
Kudos on he skills, guys.
(Also, they performed to live music in MA, which makes it all the more impressive.)

yeah, I did have it on one end, had it on both ends of the foam at the start of the summer, but the top one would move up and stick out over the handle, then fall off. I got lazy and took it off. My sticks now have electric tape on both ends of the foam. next year, I'll make sure to do that, I know it makes suicides (especially integral suicides) look infinitely better. thanks for the comments guys, it was loads of fun (and, given the natural progression of things, should be much better next year, with possibly just me and nate).

I know this is getting redundant, but guys that was absolutely amazing. pulling all those tricks in front of an audience and in synch.
I wasn't sure who was who, but you were all great.
Take care of your wrists!

Nate Sharpe is the one on the right of the two some if you face them in front. Eric Bate (i think that's his name) is the guy on the left. Jacob Sharpe is the guy that owns them
a.k.a. the guy that does three with the intergral suicide to infinite suicides guy

Yah, Eric Bates is the one with the blondish curly short hair, I'm the other guy that does everything in synch with him, and Jacob is the little hooligan who shows us both up. Some more background info on the show, the tent capacity was 800 when full, the live music was performed by Cirkestra and composed by Peter Buffano, and the filming was done by Ron Eastman.
