good idea, they are bringing out a book of juggling world records which i think has a diabolo section. It's on the firetoys news board somewhere. You can enter in for that if you have video evidence i think.

I wanna see some carzy endurance 2d shuffle, and furthest distance travelled with 2d shuffle. Also longest finger grind etc.

My record in three high is  35  :D .And two high I think nearly 75 or 80. I haven't count it yet. And my longest time I've played diabolo is 6 to 7 hours a day.

Yes I did.  But Jibe, Tony, Priam and others did more.  I heard that Jibe does 200 catches before each 3 high siteswap session   .  Is it true?

That is very nice! Though, I heard that JiBe got 300 catches a long long time ago (when he was still practising a lot),so that's a little mroe

And how about Tony's 3 high record of 3:20 minutes? And what is more difficult: catches, or ... minutes? Heights of 3d caroussels can vary a lot...

For information, Trash's record for 3 low is 5:30 minutes. And the record from Tony in 4 high is 35 seconds / 65 catches. But I am sure he can do a lot more in training. Also check out this topic.

The record for 5 diabolo's is 10 throws / 5 catches, by Ryo.

That's still amazing even if it is only a flash.  The fact that a 5 in high siteswap requires you to rocket it up pretty far, and then to do so 10 times without moving much.

I would have imagined a longer 3 low record could be set with an async shuffle as it's not so harsh on just one arm (Trash's right in this case).  Care to try Bertrand?

I'm sure Makky would have the record on most number of knot steals in one minute.  What about longest sprinkler?  Longest string used to diabolo?

Yeah, longest sprinkler, and shortest and longest string ever used would be fun to know. Though I don't think it is possible to measure how many 'knot steals' you can do in one minute... But most catches in 2d shuffle in one minute could be a possible record (Dave P, fancy to try this?).

Donald Grant holds this record doesn't he?  I remember reading about how he attempted it on an episode of the UK show Record Breakers.  He was using Renegades.  But I definitely think Mr. Proctor would do very well at this.  Only problem is, who'll count it?

I am trying for a 3 low record and i have been for ages.  I want to get the world record one day but somewhere i heard that Ryo Yabe could do 10 minutes of 3 low which frankly is really quite scary. Unfortunately i have not got around to timing an attempt yet. My watch has broken so whenever i'm in the mood for an attempt at school i have no means of timing it. I must time it at home soon.

Chiok i think that 3 low endurance record would be much harder in aynch as you run out of spin unless you acclerate which is another way of tiring yourself out and making things easier to miss. Also you would have to correct more often making things harder still because even the best mess up corrections occasionally.
This is just my opinion i would like to see what Bertrand has to say about this. He is much more experienced with aysnch than me (and 3 low in general really).

I'll see what I can do for 522 w/ sun in a row, it's gotten better, but I haven't tried yet, we'll see, maybe tomorrow. just got 7 360s (2520) in a fan (it was an s-fan, and mine aren't great, so I don't know if this is impressive). No one's posted these yet, I guess people who can correct their s-fan could do one or two, then stop and correct, then repeat, though for the record, mine were in very quick succession, and I think that each 360 had 4 or 5 rotations, or 8-10 ott, with three on the left side and 1 or 2 on the right side. I think the most c-fan rotations (i'm pretty sure c-fan s-fan's are impossible) I've gotten is 3 or 4 (1080 or 1440), and if 3 then i've gotten very close to 4.

didn't want to say something I couldn't back up, so I just diaboloed for a while to try for a 1440 c-fan, and after getting quite close a few times, I finally got it.

I think it's no world record but I played with an about 10 meter long string, I also did 2 diabolos in it (though it only were about 6 catches).

And yeah, the string of Axel S. definitely is the shortest I've ever seen on stage (but yeah, he does a sprinkler in it :) )

Well, if it's 'just' for a worldrecord attempt, I guess people would be trying way way shorter string than Axel S, or John. Like just a few centimetres... and try 1d tricks with it. for 2 and 3 it has to be longer than that, but still it can be very very short. The problem is, when do you say someone can 'diabolo' with a string of let's say 20cm? What tricks has that person got to do?

It's a bit of a useless record really :P Though, I'd love to try running 2 diabolos in a 10 meter long string (or longer)! LOL! :P

What about seeing if we could get the bogleg Juggling Records Database to include some diabolo trick listings? They already include the diabolo in their database of props but there are currrently no trick categories. Might be more productive than reinventing the wheel.

I suppose the other alternative would be to develop a sticky were a mod updates the records at the top as new records are claimed. I would think we would have to limit the records to those with videos... or have an official and non-official version. Or just keep posting in a thread like this for fun... :D

That is incredible. Too good to be true as it were. I would definintely need something more official to believe that. I can carry my s-fan around 2 minutes with circuses without corrections (but only because i can't do them) or a customized axel  and i get really tired just from that.

But it is easily infinite with the right axel.

Complete change of subject; if anyone wants to try a really stupid and potentially dangerous record try doing an infinties suicide on a pogo stick or s-fan on a pogo stick (this is much harder as you have to hold the pogo stick between your legs with your knees which is a major challlenge in itself)
I have tried both of these and have got no more than around 5 seconds with the infinite suicide and didn't even get one hop before falling of when trying the s-fan.

maybe he is counting an s-fan where they stop spinning for a while, and flop around before arighting themselves again and gaining speed before losing it again, I have fun doing this, but it doesn't count in any way.

for the records, wouldn't it be better to just stick to pure diabolo records, otherwise you could get a bunch of funny but stupid records (eg. Diaboloing while balancing a broom on your nose), whats the point in those? anyone know the highest throw with one diabolo ever done (its already been discussed, but i'd like to know a number)?
