This is just out of interest what are everyones favorite diabolo videos? Personally I like John Booths diaboloho It didn't have three diabolo tricks but it had a lot of nice combos and great music to go with it.

mod: it would help if you link to the threads to help other diaboloists share when you post to this thread, I have done some of them using the search and trick sticky. Reasons as well as a list for preference : seán_

My favourites are "of baguettes and diabolos", Antonins routine of the CJC, Diabolo_comp (with matt hall, ryo yabe, takeshi otsuka,...), drop and change and the Zonglovani_1005_Shows.

Actually too much...

1) ... of baguettes and diabolos - Antonin, Eric
2) Drop and Change - Umberto(that is correct, right?)
3) 3 Days, 4 Nights and 7 Diabolos - Arjan, Ceri-Anne
4) Feel Good Inc. - Bertrand, Dai

Those are my detinct top 4, after that I can't decide a number 5. All four are great videos.

Antonin and Eric's still amazes me, just as much as it did when I watched it the first time, just after learning 2 diabolos. These two are the best when it comes to innovative diaboloing.
Drop and Change have some amazing 3 diabolo work but what fascinates me is the one diabolo work, incredible.
Arjans knots are nothing to mess with, and the humour and cutting in this video is the best I've seen. Showing failed attempts in the first part really sets the mood. And also the most beautiful environments in a juggling video I've ever seen. Was a bit skeptic about the lightshow in the end but even that worked out really good, with some innovative stuff.
Feel Good, also features some amazing 3 diabolo work by Bertrand, and both of them (bertrand and dai) have really good stuff to show the community. Also great settings and matching music.

All four a must "save to disc" and should be watched for both inspiration and jaw exercises.

Good work to all of you!

Bertrand and Dai - Feel Good Inc
Maki Tojo - FEDC02 and FEDC03
Captaine Buisson and Tahia - Quand la touffe rencontre le buisson
Drop and Change - Cedric Umberto (Diaboloumberto)
Zonglovani Show
Sharpes - Shirtless Man Doing Diabolo
Arjan and Ceri-Anne - 7 Diabolos, 3 Days and 4 Nights
Dutch Diabolo Forum - Diastylo
Seán_, MattF and Matt_H - Leeds Lot

These are the diabolo videos that I watch on somewhat of a regular basis either because I'm interested to see them again or they're in my VLC playlist when I want to have it on in the background.  These make my top list either due to crazy diabolo, super music or the both!

I do love what comes out of this forum, very grateful.  I recommend all of these videos.

I find it very hard to give a list of my favourite videos. I couldn't pick any 1 video out of diabology as my favourite. They are all good for different reasons. At the moment i find myself watching Baptiste, Jibe and Priam's Siteswaps Freestyle alot.

Here's My best attmept at a favourites list:
1.The entire of diabology (both disks)
2.Drop and change by Diabolumberto
3.Joint 3 place between Two Loose in Toulouse and Feel Good Inc.
4.Smile Sean & Kris
5.All of ryo yabes videos you can find anywhere (these are so low down only because they're so damn perfect) (and also)

In no particular order:

Fred's Diabolo Video
Feel Good Inc.
Niels' 15/08/05
Quentin's 3d tricks
Sharpe's Second Video (mod oops, cant find this)
Drop and Change

A Man's Chew will always hold a special place in my heart, as will all the old trick videos of Norbi. That's how I learned 2d was even possible, and why I bought my diabolos.

For the same reason, I must praise . They're the one that Barnsey's videosmade me realize the potential of diabolos after wasting 15 years doing just high toss and suns. Quickly followed by Jibe's combo videos and Two Loose. ( I just counted and I have about 40 Jibe vids on my hard drive!)

I also think the Sharpes' video of their Circus Smirkus routine was exceptional.

Also love Man's Chew, Baguettes, Priam in the dark.

And the video everyone should see:
Francis Brunn on the Jack Benny Show
He doesn't diabolo but he's an inspiration!

Ah yes.  Barnesy's site was where I first encountered loop diabolo and how to correct.  The 2 in a loop really blew my mind back then.

Ah, and that reminds me, I forgot about the Priam - Diabolonights and his Italy show, those were really good.  And the Renegade of Priam Vs Donald Grant* is nice.  I've managed to accrue just over 6Gb of "juggling porn" as my fiancée likes to call it split about half and half between other juggling and diabolo.

Wow, i have over 7GB, and it's only movies longer than one clip. I deleted all my single clip/trick video a while ago, they must have taken up another large chunk.

Dunno about favourite vids, Two Loose is a classic, i love watching that. Ryo's WJF vid from this year (of his exhibition highlights from last year) is awesome.

My parents starting complaining about a "slow" computer so I had to delete it so that the video list don't past the top of the of the computer screen to the bottom...

My favorite is:

Of baguettes and diabolos, drop and change, convention bruxelles, feel good inc, two loose, and diab_au_logis oh yeah ryo yabe's videos are good too :D

That's a bit of rubbish, having lots of movie files won't slow your computer down.  Lots of programme files perhaps that you've downloaded would do that.  Which is why defragmenting your hard drive after you download anything fairly large is a good idea to keep things neat and tidy and allow the computer to find things quicker.

But then you need to keep about 15% hard drive space free for defragmentation to happen, so that might be it.

"diab_au_logis" - Not heard of this one

wowowo renegade with priam and and donald grant, could somebody post a link, or bump the old thread, Ive not seen any of those priam videos, and i generally stay pretty much on the ball.

The one i watch most at the moment is the brussels 2005 one with niels doing an awesome 3 diabolo set without a drop, the kids a legend.

Well, it takes your pc a lot longer to open a file (diabolovideo for example) when you have a lot of files on your hard drive. Your computer needs some free space anyway to function normally. And it's also very good to check your software listed once in a while, so you can delete programms if you don't use them anymore. Video editing (with uncompressed avi's etc) is a very demanding thing for your computer as well

But defragmenting is a good thing. I'll try that tonight, haven't done it in a long long time :P Thanks!

It does in mine too, its the video that encouraged me to learn anything more than one and to carry it to the level i have now.

All of the recent videos are pretty impressive but, in no order:

Feel Good Inc
Drop & Change
3, 4 & 7 diabs
Shirtless man playing diabolo
All of diabology, but i particularly enjoyed
1) Baguttes & Diabolo
2) The one with trash and Remi in it (Our Secret?)
Diabolo or Diablo
