I was talking to one of the fundango people who was unaware of the diaboloists in Nottingham. Now that the square is out of action maybe this  might suit you lot.

sounds great, i should be there!

so has the advanced 1d workshop been confirmed yet, or are the organisers still waiting for somebody to do it? it'd be great if somebody could do a body moves / combo style tutorial so we can all aspire to do some of those amazing french-style routines...

i remember at last years najc in nottingham a french-canadian (i think) girl called dominique did some superb 1d workshops, unfortunately i was a bit rubbish then and struggled a bit with some of them, but i'm more than prepared this year! well, probably.

I, for one, would like to see "less" of the French style with knots around the neck and what not.  It looks pretty yes, but I don't feel it really has the same impact as say, a Japanese or American style.  I think even the French are starting to veer away from it, (Cedric, Eric, Trash etc.)  I'm more enthusiastic about the stick releases really, which lends itself to more mess ups, but hey I guess it's why Diabolumberto stayed away from them in his Cabarat performance.

If a workshop could be organised for that, I'd be quite excited.  Not that I'll be making it though...

Thought I'd post the latest on the Nottingham fundango day. I'm going to try my best to go there as I think it has the potential to be a great day. I am going to York  Chocfest the day before so it might be a case of seeing how I am feeling.

Look forward to seeing people either in York or Nottingham.

Thanks Peachi, British standard please (BST milk 2 sugars)

I should be bringing Tempei along so maybe one for him as well.
I think he might be in need of crash space as I will be heading back north without him, any possibilities? (or if you know of anyone from Norwich way)
