Hello folks,

Kapis noticed the new video, I noticed it deserves it`s own thread.
I saw this act in Gent, it`s absolutly one of the best I have ever seen.
It has diabolo (ofcourse), comedy and loads of technical stuff aswell.
The perfect combination!

Check it at: http://filophile.free.fr/spectacles.php

I could swear that was so damn good.  That's such an amazing show and so glad they shared it.  That would definitely be a swing factor in whether I attend a convention if they were there.

I rubbed my eyes in amazement at some of the tricks they had, so glad they're still on the cusp of excellence.

The multi-platform diaboloing they do has to rank as the most creative stage performance for diabolo to date. It's something that can really appeal to even the most general audience.

Doesn't hurt that they're also pretty damn funny with it too. I just hope we don't see a billion copy-cat diaboloists doing stuff like that; hopefully it inspires someone to do something even more creative.

Man, those two have a great act! It was great how they covered for getting the stick stuck up there, then got it down later. I also liked all that creative new diabolo, platform stuff, and the genocide coming to grapple and ungrapple on those poles. very good stuff!

filophile: that's a created word, so Eric would have to confirm. But I'd guess for "people who like strings". From fil: string, and phile like in cinephile (cinema goers).

"Fil et Refile": something like give it and give it again (if written 'file et refile'). But there's a pun since 'fil' means string. Can't really be translated while conveying the full meaning.

(I'm not really sure what they are talking about with "filophile" bu it might bare some resemblance to philophile which got changed in the language translation?) Sorry, didn't read above post. Thanks

Anyway, does anyone know if you can get the whole performance on DVD or download? It looks worth buying.

Edit: You can get the full versions from the site if you send them an e-mail and ask them for the password. (The part of the site with the videos on it is restricted by that password)

You will have to write the e-mail in French i suppose...
Not sure how many times my diabolos have been in the pond
