As I've written some weeks ago(View Thread) we have had a little Diabolo-Convention here in Germany.
It was very funny and to give you some impressions i have created a video.

Good job - some nice skills in there - funy that my favorite clip was non diabolo related - the bounce from balance ball into 3 balls - sweet.

i liked this video a lot. it did a good job of mixing up hard technical juggling with some artful stuff with some silly stuff and different props (clubs, balls, rings, diabolo) and not a moment of fluff. well encoded too (at a bad aspect ratio....but MPC fixes that).

only dreary note is the constant gym setting, but it's not a big deal, especially considering the circumstances.

we have to wait a whole year for part 2?   i hope to see more in the meantime!

We are planning to set next Year's Diabolocamp in early 2007 (January/February), so it won't be a whole year.

definitely! like i said, the original had not a moment of fluff---it didn't seem like you were desperate for clips. i think that i (and others) would certainly like some more footage.

JC (producer of the Ultra Leicht Kit and sitting in the background at 3:32)
Benno (who reads d.ca but isn't registered - can be seen at 6:10, the second one during the infinite suicide endurance)
and me (= Flo = sparx) (most of the filming was done by me so i can only be seen sometimes, for example at 6:16 the first one jumping around like an idiot)

Ok, than I will start editing again, let's see what the next vid will look like.

How was that event organised, was it just a bunch of guys that hired out a hall/gym for a weekend or a convention?

Well i had the idea of organising something like a little diaboloconvention in germany and posted it in the German Diaboloforum. We collected ideas and finally found a good gym to hire cheaply. Two friends of mine (Malte Peter and Manuel - both juggling and diaboloing) helped me to get everything done and luckily everything worked how we wanted it to work!
Although we posted here on d.ca and on jongle.net only germans came.
I hope that this video will help to get some international guests (yes, i mean YOU there sitting in front of your computer! ).
