WJF Preliminary Results
« on: December 18, 2004, 08:42:50 am »
Today the qualification competition was held for the final on Sunday. Deciding on the 5 finalists was a very tough decision. The following 8 diaboloists competed: (I copied this from what Priam posted to Jongle.net)

- Ryo YABE (Japon)
- Priam PIERRET (France)
- Sylvestre DEWA ("Trash", France)
- Baptiste DURAND (France)
- Antonin HARTZ (France)
- Eric LONGEQUEL (France)
- Norbert Bunker-Whitney ("Norbi", Royaume Uni)
- Matt HALL (Etats-Unis)

The 5 finalists will be Ryo, Priam, Baptiste, Antonin, and Matt.

Sorry I didn't get to post this earlier.  My laptop has been a hot commodity with the MFP, and then other things like food and gambling took priority. ;)

The final will be held on Sunday at 14:30 local time.

it says on the website that 5 world record attempts willl be made, is there any more news on this, are any of them diabolo related? Ryo claims to be able to do 6 bt no video of this exists to my knowledge, could this be one of the records?

have fun post videos as soon as you record/ see someone recording one!!

If you look at Ryo's competitor video on the WJF site, the last clip is of him doing 6 diabolos for 6 catches. It's very impressive!

Oh man! I wish I were there. Must have been some really nice performances there. Hope there will be some videos for us that couldn't come. Either on the internet or on DVD for sale.
