Its allways a good day, plenty of diaboloists from Leeds, Ponte, Manchester (and at least 1 from Scouse for sure).

Thought this could do with a bump.  Chocfest is one of my favourite one dayers, and it's always a busy one with lots of diabolists so I'm looking forward to it.  I'm in the show too - I'm not looking forward to that quite so much!

i've heard too many good things about chocfest so Im hoping to head up on Saturday.

I know it's a stab in the dark but anyone heading up from Bristol or thereabouts? I'd be able to get an early train/bus to your location and if you'd be so kind give me a lift up (petrol money included).

Is anyone getting the train from Manchester or have some car space as my lift has just cancelled?
Bill.

Thanks for your helpful input.

Sorry Bill but I didn't have any luck myself either.  If you do find a way of getting there, enjoy it.

DIABOLO MISHAP!

I seem to have bought home the wrong diabolo!!!.

was anybody using a black circus with a white Teflon replacement hubs? with the washers removed?

do you now have a black circus with silver bolts and washers instead of the brass one?
or do you know anybody who was?, mine was newer and with different bolts [not really very obvious till i was having a closer look.

It was probably my fault and an honest mix up, but would be good to get my original one back
cheers mark

ow convention review on the way when I sort pics.

Unless you wanna come through and get it?

bet you have my green g2 as well :P

I really enjoyed Chocfest, did more diaboloing than usual (though not as much as I should have). Nice to catch up with people and have a generally sweet day.

Hello all

I finally got the photos sorted [sort of] so here is a short

CONVENTION REVIEW WITH ADDED PICTURE GOODNESS!

Managed to arrive at choc relatively easily, apart from the one man who directed us to the wrong school [In what situation would any old school do? its been keeping me up at night] This was my first choc and it lived up to its rep as a great one dayer! Loads of diabolists old and new [well at least to me].

things of note.

-I helped run a beggi nersdiabolo workshop and if any of the ten or so people I told to start reading this website are, Enjoy [and watch hot teen on cam]

-Dave B, mod to the stars did a sweet routine showing he is the master of the "yes I have timed a change in the music with this cool 2D stall and yes you should be clapping" style of diabolo.

-York, would seem like a decent place to hold the diabolo camp if it was to happen, as so many diaboloers attended.

-GT's fan workshop was very helpful and cracked it for the dude with the mowhawk, me and rob will keep trying.

-the pure genius of serving that amount of chocolate to hungry jugglers [i'm sure it was all the endorphines released from the choclate that give chocfest its magic]

-diabolo once again shows it is truly the best prop, as when everybody else had given up juggling for the day us diaboloers where still dialoing away at the back of the hall [impressing strangers with string climbs[you know who you were] and enjoying diaboloing for nearly 8 hours straight culminating in the people who run chocfest politely telling us all to ****off so they could go to the pub.

A great day [I was in to good a mood to do any serious diaboloing or to pay attention to closly if anybody was doing anything particually exciting]
