A little excalibur video
« on: January 15, 2005, 11:58:16 pm »
Here is a little video, filmed this morning. We tried to do something different, I let you discover...
Capten did the video, and it's his first one.
I advice you to put the luminosity of your screen to the max to be able to read the texts.
The link (Size : 5.8M) :

And sorry for my bad english

Oh boy, I've contemplated diaboloing outside but the -15 Celcius weather and meter of snow have made me think otherwise.

I'm working on that jump over excalibur sun at the end of the video too. I think I almost crushed my poor diabolo about 5 times today. Feeling a little clumsy at the moment. :)

Thanks for sharing and welcome to the forum.

(Your English looks fine... don't worry about it. ;) )

That's nice - excalibur always looks impressive.

I'd love to see a tutorial on how to get the diabolo on its side, what tricks to start with etc. Just a short post would be fine, though a video would be even better!  :)

Thanks.

This video has been made with Adobe Premiere, but it is my first try so it was  difficult.  #-o

Tom (and others),

Since we'll be doing an excallibur workshop in Scotland, maybe Barnesy or someone could tape it and we could edit it so that it would be a good resource for people just starting out.

If you can't wait that long, then maybe Sean could put something together on the fly.

Excallibur is another area that I think could be explored a bit more.  There's already some burly stuff out there, but I suspect there will be more to come in the next few years.  I don't know if 2 excallibur will ever work solidly, but it's an idea.

Matt
Many Thanks to Sean for all his work and inspiration.  Respect to the MFP!

That sounds useful.  I'll be bringing my video camera (and my mac for that matter...), so it all sounds easy enough.

That'd be great if you could video the workshop at the scottish convention - cheers Matt (and barnesy :) ).

Maybe you don't have the right codec. If i remember well, capten used xvid. You can find it here :

And thanks for all your comments.

I've watched your video a couple of times, and liked it very much. Then I watched it again and liked it even better. Nice editing, and like many others have already said: very different from other videos. Cool! :D

I added a small excalibur tutorial video over here (to tie the threads together).

I'd love to see an edited video done by Barnesy of Matt's excalibur workshop from the Scottish! Matt's got some awesome excalibur skills.

I loved the music.  Do you know what artist that is?  I'd love to grab some more of his stuff.

Everything is in the title of the video : cat131 cd is the number of the album on the label's catalog. It's Bogdan Raczynski - Renegade Platinum Mega Dance Attack Party: Don The Plates, on Rephlex
