well, i've been practicing finger grinds left and right. unfortunately, with the fast speed of the diabolo and the metal hubs...when i miss the grind and it just falls back onto my hand...it creates some ugly results. this is what it's turning into so far, and it doesnt look to be slowing down. i practice every day so...no time to heal  :(

ooh painfull

Last night I had what could of been a nasty one. I was practicing 2 high on a really short string, the pattern was drifting to the left so I decided to reach my arms to my left to bring it into 2 low. The diabolo coming down landed, started to shuffle but launched from my left hand straight along my arm and into my eye and nose. luckily I have escaped any disfigurment but I had spots in my eye for the next half hour.

I also managed to hit a juggler who walked back into me when I was doing 2 high. Maybe I should have warned him but it's the only way he'll learn. ;)

Hmmmm, Ive never had a single injury :D Not even a tiny scratch. But I use MB rubberkings and they are pretty soft and only have round edges.

I gave my self a black eye when i first started. I was try to do the string climb with a really dirty string, the diabolo caught up, hit me in the nose and the stick followed.

I had no option but to hold my (slightly battered) head up jigh and take it ( i was in a buzy pub garden at the time.

Ah memories.....

I was messing around doing some chinese turns, threw the diabolo too low, punced it mid turn and burst a vein in my finger.  Have also experienced the "arm slashing" and nose busting brunts of the soft rubber toy.

I sadly have a 4 cm gash down the side of my face starting by my eye from a bad excalibur accident with a finesse diabolo yesterday.

How embarrassing.

I was messing around trying to do round the neck tricks and suddenly i ended up with  the diabolo string wrapped around my neck. the diabolo the curled up on the string and nearly chocked me. though no real injury was sustained it was definitely a scare

that is the last time i will be trying those kind or tricks again...

At least for a few days

Famous last words? :P
It takes 24 muscles to smile, 42 to frown, and only 4 to hit someone in the face. Luckily for you, I need the exercise.

Well I managed to get my other eye on monday playing about with 180 fans. Today I missed the stick on a 2d anti suicide and managed to whack a diabolo into my groin trying to save the move.

This thread will be the death of me :(

I think that's one of the most painful injuries. This smiley seems to sum it up::shock: . I've done it no fewer than 3 times while trying to learn the s-fan.
