I've never known it aprt from the name calling. "Circus freak" or "clown" are the usual names people come up with. They're so original!

Once when I was up in BOulder I guy was laughing at a juggler who kept messing up... he was working on 6 balls though so I guess he was good. But anyway what he said was "You laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at you because you are all the same." I guess you coud say the same thing if someone is picking on you.

Always get called "circus ......" i take it as a compliment because its something i can do which pretty much noone in my whole school can (except for a mate who i just taught 2d to  :D).  Also if someone says ohh thats easy or its childs play.  I can reply with earnings ive gained from doing it or just pass them the sticks and a diabolo and simply say, "Go on then..".  People have tended to appreciate it now that ive done it for awhile in my free lessons at school.  They've all tried it out and the best they could do was a whipcatch (with alot of luck and my awesome teachings  ;)) - so now they know when im trying s-fans how hard it is.

errrmmmm...probably not the best for self esteem, but just ignore them...
I find it's the best solution.

Nah you have a pretty unique talent - why not show them up with it to make them look like the fools they are?

It's been a long while since anyone tried bullying me about anything, but if you or somebody you know is at the wrong end of bullying (though it should be said both ends are the wrong end) then this is a good place to go for help

Ignoring is the best. That way you don´t waste precious time talking to annoying people.

well i can't do vertax but when the track team is practicing inside i like to do infinite suicides or genocide that way they don't run straight through our club meeting area because if they do it once then they think its ok but no we have that space reserved on those days

I actually got called a geek last night, it was by a mate, and he was joking, but to that i replied.. "You used to be cool Steven, youve changed.." He just laughed and said "Touché".

You just have to rise above it if people give you sh!t... Show that ur better than them.. If it starts getting physical, id do a magic knot and flick the diabolo in their face...

Or, as i do, shoud random abuse at them, wich in turn snags the diabolo, it all wraps up and i end up smashing them with the diab. Or do a Dan Rose (for those who understand) :D

Hehe, I understand :D

If you do get bullied about diaboling you shouldn't realy feel bad becasue you have a skill and a hooby which has the possibility to make you some extra cash and entertain many people. I know people say this all the time but a bully is probably just jealous that you are getting all the attention and can do something they cant.

not too long ago 2 days ago i think my friend stole my sticks and began to whip me
i have several raised red marks on my hand still today where she connected and one nasty cut on the inside of my leg (i was wearing thick jeans and it cut my leg yet on bare skin it did nothing?!?!)

anywho when i was trying to get my stick back she nearly bit my finger off so the moral of the story...
stay away from the girls who like whiping and biting!

Like Seán said, bullying is a serious issue and shouldn't be dealt in such an off-hand way.  Needless to say, insults or violence back isn't a productive way and could escalate matters.  Polite indignation at best.

Childline can really help people, don't overlook it or think it's not worth the time.  Plus they're really nice people to chat to and they do good work.
