Diabolo88, as your friendly neighbor country man. I say that's ok. Seems like a normal salary for me. Though, i think you should have outfit(even a simple one, not anything too fancy) for your next show. It sounds prettymuch at first but then again you drove there for 3 hours and made a completely new show for that gig. Some people will pay you that or more, easily. But about half of the people will beready to pay like third of that sum. Sounds like you got i nice fish for your first paidperformance. But it isn't really that much compared to some sums i've heard of or got a few times. Those would be robbery. I would probably ask for little less to get more gigs at first. But it's your choice in the end. You're not a thief. If you meet me in person, as for a few selling tips. I have one or two really good ones.

I preform at my schoolI don't really get money but i got to start my own juggling lesson (Takes out 2 lessons of my daily schedule )And sometimes i use the excuse "I'm practicing for the show" To get out of class xD
You do amazing stuff not many people can do any of the tricks you are telling about and completly dropfree... thats really cool! So now you stop practicing new tricks for a whike and put your energy on developing your show instead, you are already more than good enough at tech stuff. If you spend a tenth of the time you put into your technical skill on geting a solid act i dont think you ever have to get get a normal job.Good luck man
Your like diabolo news reporter Niclas, always bringing out the updates fast. Nice work.
Asking how much to charge for a gig is kind of like asking how much you shuld pay for a car. The answer is of cause that it depends on what car it is.Steven Ragatz (cirque du solei and juggling veteran) has written a very good article on the subjecthttp://www.performers.net/library/sr-fee.html
if the market paid you 2000 and both they and you are happy about the sum the price was rigth. Its enough monney to make you look like a pro and not so expensive that it scares the organizers away. How much to ask also depends a lot on the costumer, if its a show for kids in a school go for your minimum rate, if its a corporate event fleece the buggers as much as possible. Some gigs you can do for free if you think its a cool purpose (charity etc) but always tell them what the show really costs.

But I usually charge 125 for a kids party which is one hour of both teaching and performing.
But it takes a lot of work to develop a good act, and its not all about the tricks. I say put more energy on developing your acts and a little bit less on your tech skills. This is my opinion and im sure everyone dosnt agree with me.
I was once asked to do a show in Dubai, they would pay the flight and hotel etc and i would get £1500 for the weekend... My parents didn't let me because i'm too young
