Well, I mention it because you mentioned having to buy high quality skate bearings.

Skate bearings still exist on the system of 'higher abec = higher quality bearing' ...which is absolutely untrue. It's a good marketing ploy, that's about it. I've dealt with this same issue in the yo-yo world for years.

So my question was really more just a general 'what makes them work better than others you've tried?' Do they spin longer? Do cheaper bearings break? If it's just spin, you can clean all the grease and oil out of cheaper bearings and get almost identical results in most cases, which would help you lower your investment cost. If it's an issue of cheaper bearings breaking, then yea, spend the extra money.. but having built similar parts before, I never had that issue myself.

Do these work with wide axle finesses, or just with narrow?

i'm fully aware of the ABEC fable being a dedicated skateboarder, the bearings on either side are under quite alot of stress, i was more looking for a bearing that would last ie what i use in my board. if the bearings were to break they would be a pain in the ass to remove hence why i thought it would be worth spending a little more, especially if i'm selling them

lz

bearings can be changed for something better

as i said earlier the spin top attachment is nearly done

OK so mine arrived yesterday - thank you Mr Lz.  This is a damn cool bit of kit - its precision made and fits nice and snug - not a hint of wobble.  In play they work mighty smoothly and are pretty easy to grab and manipulate.  I'm only just beginning to explore what could be done with these puppies, but the are just so much fun to play about with.

Top marks from me - now go buy some folks - I'm ordering more! - the more of us playing with them, the quicker the tricks will emerge.

Now to find a way to fit them to a Sundia.......

I ordered three ;D

I have also sent you an email without a reply as of yesterday...

[EDIT] I just checked my email, and I have not received a reply yet, but I do have trouble sending emails to you sometimes, I get this error from gmail saying it didn't go through... so maybe mine didn't or something...

I was saying to Duncan last night that I wasn't sure how many doors these things would actually open but looks like I've been proved wrong already. I can imagine it being great for multiple diabolos -I guess we'll probably see what people come up with.

How come you're only making a small amount? I bet loads of people will want these things after seeing the demo vid.

If there is any way of making these things compatible with a Fly, please let me know!

No problem, thank you! I have already started to conceive although simple tricks, but otherwise impossible without them, besides it's a start.
