Where to get a bearing replacement axle
« on: September 13, 2008, 03:37:15 am »
Hey guys.

So right now I have some sundia Flys and they rock.  There's just one problem: the bearings are pretty messed up.  I live in the United States, and I was wondering where the easiest place would be to buy my replacement axles from.  Thanks!

Nev sells pretty much anything. Help him out and get some kit from him.

Are you sure your bearing need replacing?

What problems are you having?

sorry i never got around to buying all the bits nev, i got distracted with work, and school and moving - excuses excuses just spend money right? ha

if the cups on your fly can turn then your hubs are worn out not the bearing

if the bearing makes a lot of noise and is obnoxious then maybe you could try tightening the the diabolo proper (careful over tightening can bend the inner washers)

if the bearing won't lock I guess it's broken then again I had a problem like that with a spintastic bearing but my axle wore down so there wasn't enough for it to grab onto.

correct me if I'm wrong; wanna make sure you buy the right part ;)

Well, I have 2 main problems with them.  First of all, my cups started to be able to turn.  I didn't know why that occurred, so I think I overtightened the cups.  Second of all, and the most worrisome, one of them has become a no bearing diabolo.  by that, I mean I can do climb the string on it, etc.  so then what parts should I get?

If its too tight then you may have fixed the axle. Try loosening it a little bit, should work wonders.

well due to some side conversation he does live near the coast so it could be possible that the salty air corroded the bearing

Doesn't even need to be salty. Forgot about my yoho superspins for a couple of nights and all I have to say is Rust ****s Diabolos Up. (Gave me an excuse to play with the macro on my camera and photoshop.)

no rust.  I think I just messed them up.  i'm probably going to just buy an axle set and new hubs and hope it works.
