2d fan fun
« on: September 24, 2008, 12:09:53 pm »
Couple of fan variations. Nothing special.

P.S To all female diaboloists who also enjoy the lion king. I like long walks on the beach and generally having a good time. PM if you're looking for serious commitment.

First trick was cool.
Are you only interested in females?

No, but if if you're not female, a sex change may be required.

I've got it clearner than that but you know how it is when the camera gets turned on + my impatiance...

I loved these MEtal-Kidz, they are amazingly good for their age.

Thanks Nev for the video, but i  thought more about unfeed the AC-FAN

Whoops - my mistake - it confused me because he's left handed (previous link removed).  I first saw multiple unfeed AC fan on a similar video quite some time ago (but I can't find it now).

ps dave - it looks much smoother if you unfeed the dominant diabolo out of the fan

Maybe I'm confusing the string mechanics here, but could you not switch back and forth between anti-clockwise s-fans and regular fans this way?

you can certainly switch from ac to s-fan - but switching back gets a bit tricky - you'd need a crossed arm unfeed

Not on that video no - you unfeed the left one out of the fan - there's a switch as you exit the fan.  Think of it as long or short vortex (fan exit) - you do the long version.  If you do the short it will unfeed right out of the fan without the fan exit part first.  You want to pop the diabolo on the right side of the fan.

Oh and forgot to say - nice work Sir - its quite a tricky trick to master

Ah I see, so I have effectivley put in an extra beat? Thats cool I shall get to practicing it the other way, am I right in saying that if you did it continuously its just a feed the sun? Just not the fts that we are used to?

Yep - on the fan exit - you exit the fan before you pop (so they switch over and the left diabolo in the fan is the one that unfeeds - if you pop the right one, it unfeeds straight out of the fan without the switch & looks much smoother imo)

am I right in saying that if you did it continuously its just a feed the sun? Just not the fts that we are used to?
If it was just one beat between the feed / unfeed (sun as opposed to fan) then technically it would be feed the antisun. (I remember Josh & I working on those at BJC Nottingham but out of antishuffle rather than fans).  But if its more than one beat then you have feed the fan.

Same as you can do fts or feed the c-fan - just opposite rotation.

Cheers Nev as always you have been a great source of info, I've started getting it with the dominant diabolo, just need to practice it as a sun as opposed to a fan and I think I may have some cool stuff for the next video!
