Durham Juggling Convention, 18-19 Oct 2008
« on: October 16, 2008, 01:53:46 pm »
I've just realised Durham doesn't seem to be listed on here yet, so am posting to sort that out.  It's a great convention in a splendid venue and has indoor sleeping space and camping available for those who'd prefer that option.

There's also the small matter of myself and Duncan doing acts in the show, but perhaps I won't dwell on that!

Hope to see a good diabolo turnout there,
Dave

Now that I've found this thread again, after its mysterious disappearance from the search results, I can post my pictures.....

....but it seems Duncan Sean has beaten me to it. :-)

Nice new avatar, Barnesy! ;-)

Yeah - I too absolutely loved the commentary. I have checked out your photo pages in the past and the commentary is always pretty hilarious (although sometimes somewhat hard to understand!)

I guess I should note that I had a good time down in Durham - performing on the stage there has almost made me like performing a juggling routine again. Organizers were great, Mike was a great compere, and the shows I got to see were really good. Dave did a very good job (even made it to the end of his routine without a drop... except for the end), Ronen has very cool stuff from what I saw in the tech rehearsal, and 'Cindy Steele' was very cool. Magic Matt was absolutely hilarious with his banana manipulation. Dave Kelly was in perfect form on stage, not deviating a bit from how he normally performs on stage.

Thanks to Sean_ for bringing his spare tent. Certainly was a treat to attend an entire convention.
