They do include camping as part of the cost, but not food.  I've always found the Dutch fest surprisingly cheap for what your money buys you.

Oh come on Crackers! Just do both ;D

Definitely, the catering has always been pretty good :) (plus you don't need to worry about breakfast/dinner, which means more quality juggling & party time!)

I know!! Why is it at the same dates?? If I remember correctly, the first national french convention was last year in Carvin, right? In July! Really unfortunate that they changed the dates. :(

Anyway, I do hope some international jugglers will decide to come to Holland.

Is it cheaper to book flights earlier? Or just take a risk and see if I can pick up a flight last minute? Assuming I don't mind takeing a risk..

I suppose it's cheaper to book early. I don't know really.

One tip though: you should not only look for flights to Amsterdam, but also to Rotterdam and Eindhoven. Those are smaller airports than Schiphol, but are approximately the same distance from the convention.

You have to take a train to the convention anyway, so if there are cheaper flights to the less known airports, you might as well fly there.

Just try to look them up now. At some airlines like Ryan Air you can get some tickets for just 10 euro up to 50 euro with tax included! So for if yur lucky.. You could get a ticket for 10 euroes to holland =) But just check it out now and try to see if their are some cheap ones. Because at the Ryan Air site. Ticket prices vary so much each day..

I'm going to register this week =) Hope to meet all you dutchers I have never met before !!

That's because they decided the national convention would be in Toulouse this year (Southern France) and I believe the Toulouse Convention as always been held in May. If I start saving now, I might do the two in a row, they are both so attractive for totally different reasons  :)

That might very well be the last push William needs to decide to go the NJF!

I'm doing something a little like that, Crackers.  I'm going to Bungay for five days then getting the overnight ferry to Holland in time for the start of the Dutch.   I love Bungay but don't like that I seem to have stopped going to the dutch, so have decided to do both this time.

As for flight prices, I'd definitely try to book well in advance if it's an Easyjet flight.  It can be cheap later, but prices generally go up a lot, especially around weekends.

I am sooo trying to be at this convention, harder then any other this year.
Mainly to hang out with folks, so, I hope you all can make it over.
Perhaps Sean is sooo into Europe now, we can convince him to come over!
Not sure if it will work though...  ;)

There's more information about the catering on the website now. And we've made a little video of the gym and convention site, so check www.njf2009.nl/en/

More information about artists is coming in about 2 weeks. (I expect)

Wow.  It's an awful year for conventions - lots of them seem to be hitting problems and not happening as planned.  See you in Houten!

Yeah, I already knew Toulouse got cancelled. Too bad for them.
Anyway, hope you'll take some french friends with you to Holland!

And as soon as you know for sure you're coming, please pre-register. Makes things easier for us. :)
