[video] M4U - The Tune
« on: January 15, 2009, 11:17:37 am »
Hi to all...
this is my new video recorded between Oviedo (mostly), Zaragoza and Pescara during the Christmas holidays...what i want to show in this video is "the ideas" behind rather then the tricks itself (the tune in the song that the girl can't remove from her head)...anyway i wish you like it....enjoy

Download

Little video comment:

trick at   1:25 - 1:28...Didac (a spanish juggler) show me it during the zaragoza convention and i put it in that combo

trick at 1:55 there is a stick's change

trick at 2:30 is an integral (or something like that) i try to film it better but my cam is not one of the best and the sticks go too fast like a triple-genocide

trick at 2.55 Sergej show me that simple but cool change's sticks at EJC 2008

I already told you that, but it deserves a public comment.
This video has been instantly ranked amoung my all time favourites after the first view. Loved nearly every trick (1:35 among others blew my mind).
You really are one of the few truely originals out there, flattered I inspired you  :P

Can't wait to see what you'll come up with next!

(and also, loved the track, one of my favorite wax tailor song  :))

AMAZING! :)

I absolutely totally love that video! Thanks so much for making and posting this. It's got nothing but highlights. All the ideas you have with sticks hanging over your arms or shoulders and using them as counterweights are so cool. Half of it I didn't even know was possible.

Always excited to see a new video appear on the forum tagged with "M4U" and this one is a real treat.
You just keep getting better, both in terms of diabolo and editing (Best credits in a diabolo video ever?).

Also, Marco is one of the very few people who can make vertax look good.

Absolutely beautiful - Bravo!
Nick.

P.S. Any chance of an Italian party coming to the BJC?

Far out. That was too much awesome to handle. You make me feel very small ;D

It's got nothing but highlights.

Exactly - to a frightening level!

I'm curious how you made the Credits? I'm thinking you took a photograph, applied a filter and played with the panning in your editing software? Very cool effect, props for that (and the editing in general really).

Few hours later now - my brain got to process the video a little bit and I have come up with a more original way of explaining the greatness of this video.

The 1 minute preview Busk sent me a few weeks ago got my expectations up to the maximum level - yet, Marco managed to exceed that level and set the bar about 2,7 times as high compared to my previous level of anticipation.

Also, I'm still trying to figure out HOW the HELL it's possible to have nothing but highlights in a 4 minute video. Respect.

Don't want to use my strongest words in front of the children. It literally took
me a 10minutes to recover from that. Me just watching blank screen. I'm shocked by how good it is.
How M4U, how, how........ I gotta stop writing.. gonna faint again.....

Wait, is that the diabolo heaven? ...because it sure looks like I picture it. And are those the tricks what i will be able to do once i get to there, because i want to do those more than i need water or food.

Brilliant.

Ridiculously awesome. You've done an amazing job with this video, M4U! :)

I thought all the tricks were smooth, but I was stunned by the vertax and infinite suicide tricks... they were crazy!

As everyone else has said, 2009 is set to be a good year!

Not much more to add. Awesome. Never knew dangly sticks could look so good. That infinite suicide grab made me go "Why didn't I think of that!?" after all the whirling dervish stuff. Simple and very effective.

I get the feeling we're going to look back at 1 diabolo stuff and at diabolo videos in general as marked by the time before and the time after this video was released.

Wow, I am not really posting  a lot normally, but you just deserved it!
I remember talking with Arjan at the EJC and we were saying that future of diabolo would see a lot of stick manipulations and stick throws.
So this video is like a glimpse of what coming years will be like.

Wow im very late for posting my opinions....
I try to speak on msn with u since one month, now i think its a better idea to post...

At first i want to say: Great work MAO, thats the best video i ever saw ....
This video really showed whats diabolo is about (for me)... Everything was perfect, the editing, the choice of tricks and the music....

The Idea behind this video is also fantastic, "Tunes" like Inspirations. "Sometimes i get a tune in my head" - sometimes i have an idea in diabolo, "pretty soon someone else havin' it too" - pretty soon someone else got the same idea. I cant get it out of my head.....

Enough words.... Thanks for sharing ur work with us.... :)  keep that way

@ scrat - that wasnt a published video u saw at the end from me

Wow, I am totally blown away! Not only is the trick content out of this world, but the presentation takes it to another level entirely!

I am trying to learn the trapeze combo with the finger hook that turns into the integral at 2:10, but the video is so fast I can't seem to figure out all the wrappings. Any chance you (or anyone) could post an explanation of what you are doing there? Thanks.
