Diaboloing in Prison for Fun and Profit
« on: September 24, 2009, 10:35:19 pm »
This summer at IJA I met and was greatly impressed by Liu Wen Yeh, a 12-year-old Taiwanese diaboloist who really seemed to have more than just a great skill set.

Well, I'm even more impressed by him now that I've read this article in Taiwan Today: http://www.taiwantoday.tw/ct.asp?xitem=56149&ctnode=425&mp=9

The kid performed in "prisons and detention centers" to raise money for his trip to America to compete at the IJA, where he won the juniors competition.

The article also discusses his training regimen: four hours a day.

Some good photos of Liu here: http://juggle.org/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=15335
