1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
2 days

2. What or who got you started?
I saw a performance at Circus Circus, Reno, NV. I was impressed. I knew I couldn't do those tricks but at least have the satisfaction of having tried something I liked.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
The fact that it brings wow and smiles from kids makes me really happy.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
I just started this weekend. I have liked it so far. If it continues to keep me challenged and entertained, maybe a few minutes daily and a couple of hours over the weekend.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Not yet. Insha Allah (God willing) I will in front of friends and family if I get better.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
No

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
I purchased the anti-gravity Diabolo from Higgins Brothers; came with wooden sticks. Its OK for a beginner like me. It loses momentum very fast.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
1. Would like to try out 2 and 3 once I get comfortable with 1.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
I was able to get the diabolo to jump over my foot a few times. That was neat.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
A suicide

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
I am trying to make the diabolo climb the string. I have mastered the steps. Its just the fact that I am not able to add enough speed to the diabolo and the quality of the diabolo itself are making it hard.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?[/url]
I saw a couple of very impressive videos on Youtube. I guess one of them is a young kid named Sam. Can't remember the name of other.

1. How many years have you diaboloed for?
I first had a go with one about 10 years ago, but didn't take it any further.  More recently (about 2 years ago) I watched dropitlikeitshot on youtube and was well impressed.  Went around and found a cheapo diabolo in a wee shop and started learning, but this diabolo broke quickly and there was no-where else in Edinburgh stocking them.  Fast forward to July '08 and the Wickerman festival - Got speaking to Sean_ at their stall, discovered that he was part of the video I had watched and bought a Ryo Yabe Sundia.  Have practiced almost every day since then.  So, short answer... 5 months in total :P

2. What or who got you started?
Initially a friend, but more intensively, Sean_ (thanks by the way dude :D )

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general?
How many ways do I love thee?  The Diabolo is just so much fun - the most fun I've had by myself hehe

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average?
1 hour (including days I don't get to practice - working 6 days a week at the mo :S )

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo?
Just show my new tricks to friends at the moment, but I'm trying to put a routine together.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ?
Can't juggle for toffee.  Devil sticks?  Just can't get them going.  I haven't given up on them just yet though...

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string?
If my Ryo Yabe was a woman, I'd be very happily married by now :D  It's smashing ;) Been using Henrys Carbons (short) for last 2 months, but just got a set of Henrys aluminium sticks and I'm liking them.  Using Henrys string at the moment.  Can't categorically say these are my favourites, but I haven't tried better yet :P

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best?
Only use 1 at the moment, but am practicing with 2 - just for last week actually, not managed to get them shuffling yet... YET!

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?
The one Sean_ challenged me with at Wickerman, where the string is wrapped around the diabolo and the left stick, allowing you to pick the diabolo off the string and have it spinning between your fingers.  Still don't understand *how* that tricks works - I'm scared if I find out it'll never work again hehe (I got it sussed now by the way, thanks for the challenge :) )

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done?
Saw some guy on youtube doing vertical diabolo tricks which abso-badwordingly-lutely blew my tiny little brain to smithereens!

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)?
Working on suicides at the moment, can do the basic ones fairly well and have given duicides a few attempts but only been able to catch a single stick so far.  Shouldn't be long before I get it sorted.  Only wish we'd had better weather over the summer here...

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you?
Sean Morris and Ryo Yabe are the only two names I can remember, but I've been inspired by every diaboloist I've seen.  Looking forward to being inspired time and time again :D
