Don't know if these are strange, i've grinded on various things, my katana swords, my dube juggling knives are good as well, washing lines, telephone line once accidentally, hair combs work well since they have notches, cutlery, and various things i've tried i can't remember. Can't believe no one has mentioned grinding the diabolo on the inside of a skinny juggling ring, can put your finger in the ring and spin the diabolo around inside the ring.

I have been having a lot of fun recently with finding odd objects to grind on. A friend set up a slack wire the other day and I started seeing how far I could get on that, then I grinded on a balance beam thing. Finally, another friend held a broomstick for me to grind on, and when it reached the other side of the stick he flipped the diabolo up in the air for me to catch. That was pretty fun.

You'll find that finesse UFO grind awesome if you put a pen or anything else similar in the key slot.

Is a ufo grind where the diabolo is vertical and being held on the tip of the stick or something? Or am I thinking of something else?

That's the one, UFO grind is the grind inside the cup during vertax.  If you can get a point inside the hex slot, tends to spin alot longer.

I sometimes look for places to grind with my sundia fly. Once time i saw a hook in the roof of my school... we HAD to put it grind to it :D Looked so cool when it looks like it hovers in the air... i also do sometimes hairgrinds... once suprised my friend with long hair :D Just drawed his hair and threw my diabolo onto it
...No diabolo, no life...
