Definatly return them, they make them to diabolo, so if you cant do it, you're being done. Don't stand for anything but a new pair or your money back. Good customer service should be a top priority of any company. The only time you shouldn't take them back is if you jumped on them or something, but they shouldn't break from diaboloing!

I've never used it on diabolo.ca.
I only use it on jongle.net and msn messenger and I was about to remove it but if you want it, you have it.

Yay, I picked up my 2 new Energy sticks (although I only broke one) at the post office today. There also was a little card which said: 'Bonne chance'. Very kind of them. I had to remove the black foam handle from my broken stick, put 2 pieces of tape on my new stick (they didn't delivered grips, which isn't a problem) and put the foam back on. It works great, and I'm glad I can use my Energy sticks again. And... I have a few spare tops now! :D

Thanks Mister B.

Glad to hear you're up and running again.  Didn't think you were a bendy Energy stick type of guy.  So what is the concensous?  Do people like rubber/silicone handles, or the traditional foam handles?  I've been trying to find a good compact moulded foam to make handles from but have had no luck so far.  I was thinking of using devilstick handstick silicone, but that might be a bit too hard.

What do people think?  Hope this Energy snapping business isn't congenative...

Well, first I used the carbon sticks, broke 2 pairs of them, so I switched to Henrys alu sticks. Although the Energy sticks can break (I'm going to be very careful now), I like their flexibility. Even for 2! It's jsut a matter of getting used to it. I think the Energy sticks are similar to the carbon sticks. Once in a while they break! :P

I also love the Xtreme handsticks. I have the transparant grips on my Xtreme sticks, and the black foam handle on my energy sticks. I like them both... Unfortunately, the rubber grips can also damage pretty bad when playing on concrete.

Tijn and Leo, did you have the caps slightly unscrewed or coming loose often? I was just wondering since I could see how that would leave a area of stress. Or is it just down to weight and abuse?

Here's the saga of how I broke mine. I was doing and infinate suicide and I think because my string was realy old it wrapped up realy fast and snapped the string near the tip of the stick. The stick then flew into a wall and made a loud noise and snapped :(

I don't know about the top being unscrewed.
ABUSE!!!! i think.

Nope. Although the tops on my Xtreme sticks come loose every now and then, the tops (or is it tips?) on the Energy sticks stay very nicely and tight. Perhaps cause it's made of one part..

I was just doing something heavy with 2 diabs. I dropped a few times, and that became fatal to one of my sticks. I'm more carefull now :)

See, this is what I meant by extensive cycle testing when I posted a message when they were first speculated.  Never know how a product is gonna be until people take it to the limits.  Why should you have to be careful with juggling equipment, just in the name has an inherent possibility to hit the floor.  But I am a fan of the innovation they have made and for the most part, they seem to be great.

But give it a lil more time, and people will be able to see my innovations in handstick design... *mwah ha ha ha*

The lil bit of plastic that has the thread on that screws into the tip.  Only after looking at them did I realise that MB are using the same shaft as the MB Performed sticks, but with the plastic insert jammed into the end to screw the tip on with.  Crafty buggers....
