Vertax tricks?

Hello everyone! Haven't posted here in a while but I was wandering a bit about vertax…

I'm able to do Vertax fairly solidly, can do a couple of tricks and am currently working on vertax genocide, but I haven't really been able to get much info on tricks beyond that point; magic knots, 'grinds' (if thats what they're called when people spin the diabolo on the tip of their sticks…), etc.

I was wandering where I could get more info on how to do these tricks? Videos/tutorials would also be immensely helpful.

Hi there!

Yes genocide is the 1st excalibur (vertax) trick people seem to try and learn but i first learnt cup grind to whip catch (what i call it anyway) 1st you get into vertax but right before it is fully vertical swing left or right (depends if your lef tor right handed) unwrap the diabolo, pull your sticks away and throw up (sounds confusing but isnt) then position your stick vertical and catch the diabolo on it. It should spin (or grind whatever) around on top of your stick for afew seconds (depends on speed, i recommend fast) the just toss the diabolo back up (by pushing your stick up then bringing it down), then bring your sticks back ready to swing (make sure your string isn't tangled) the swing fast towards the diabolo and it should whip catch the diabolo, then spin round once more (or the diabolo may hit you in the face) then wrap again into regular vertax position. After that i guess you could go for infinites (i don't know how to do them but there should be a tutorial somewhere), then probably multiple genocides (not that hard if you can land one my best is 2), then i guess you should also try trapezes/stopovers. Not sure what to do next? Be creative and make up something. :D

I forgot to add, if you have a friend who does diabolo you can do passing to them. There are so many different variations for releases and catches. Under the leg/arm, over head throws/catches, whip release and catches, genocide release and exit from catch (this can be done with infinites while exiting) and my personal favourite cup grind throws then the next person catches in a cup grind or not. There are almost endless variations for excalibur (vertax) passing.

Once again i could get a video to you showing some stuff with my friend.
