Continuous minigenocides can be done with a left backwrapping/ right frontwrapping, you just need to be careful to make sure that the stick that continues the suicide passes behind. What seems to be happening with you is that the angle of the suiciding stick is too far forward in relation to you, when it needs to be backwards. It is also worth noting that William goes from the 'backwrap' suicide to a 'frontwrap' suicide (so that the suiciding stick can pass in front, which is generally easier) by using that minigenocide variation, where he grabs the string with his right hand and rewraps the diabolo with the left stick.
