yes diaboloing is dangerous. doing vertax (or at least attemting to do so) i have hit myself in the face at least 3 times. I got burns from doing over arm orbits/combos. ive got wood sticks and got blisters on my right thumb, forefinger, and middlefinger from whipping. ive also got shoulder strain from vertax. Its also dangerous to your furniture, cieling, and houseplants if you hit something while doing suicides or anything involving throwingt the diab.
ps:sean_, you have a back curve too? I didnt get mine from diaboloing though.

in the past few hours i just learnt to do jamicides (do a sun, let go of both sticks after the diabolo reaches 10 o'clock, and catch sticks) , magic knots, and whip catches (too lazy to master the basics before moving on lol )

can you drill a hole in your diab wooden stix for the strings to go in (so then you can do a bunch of trix like infinites with/o having the string wrap around the stix) without problems with them later?

i find higgens brothers a good retailer for juggling supplies in general in the u.s., but they dont have a good selection of diabolo handstix, as they dont sell carbon/aluminum stix, although they have an amazing selection of diabolo's (they sell henry's circus's, mb finnesses and harliquins to name a few). scott edit: opps i forgot to post the link, here ya go: www.higginsbrothers.com
