Great videos and photos.
 :D  :D
I recognize some of the photos and videos. After last year I sent a CD of photos and videos to kukutxa and I am very happy that some of them have been used!!  My good friend Alex (desde Madrid) ( he appears sitting on the sleeping bag at 3:27 in the first video) is a photographer and he took the good photos!!

Thanks for bringing back some good memories, I will definitely be there next year!

Hasta el año próximo

I've gone the past 2 years and can't recommend it highly enough :D

The place itself is an old factory of 4 floors and operates 24hrs per day

The price of 20 euros includes accomodation (space on a floor for a sleeping bag), breakfast and lunch each day (vegetarian, possibly vegan) and a ticket for the professional show. Much cheapness!

Easyjet do flights there from Stanstead.

All in all, great venue, great city and the bar is open until 5 in the morning!! :D

Unfortunately I am not able to make it this year, but will be back next year.

I'm New / Circular speed up thing
« on: November 24, 2005, 04:29:39 PM »
And remember that the speed up occurs only between 6 and 9 o'clock (imagine facing a clock (right handers) The rest of the time you are loosely guiding the diabolo back round to 6 o'clock.

Tricks / Re: Trick help needed!

also I've been doing a sprinkler wrapping with my left hand then unwrapping with my right but every freaking time there's a STUPID wrap on one of the diabolos.  I've been trying to unwrap both but it NEVER works.

Happens to me alot as well !. As for advice Mattius has got it right with thinking of one big diabolo.

As a slight bonus for when it does happen, you can trapeze the offending diabolo anticlockwise over the left stick to create a magic knot and then throw it back into the shuffle to try, try again :D

Tricks / Regular Umbrella
« on: September 26, 2005, 09:33:06 PM »
Couple of things that helped when I learnt this trick

It helps to keep in mind that for every switch back and forward a little bit of up is needed as well. (Damn that gravity :x ) Just enough to keep things on the horizontal.

As the diabolo reaches its outer limits the sticks should both be pointing  at the diabolo, same for both sides. Helps keep the movement fluid and smooth

Start out slow and get a feel for the movement. As you become faster the diabolo go across flatter (real word?)

Hope this helps.

Hi Scott

Unfortunately Edinburgh is not well served with juggling shops. The only one I can think of is Wind Things in the Grassmarket. However these guys specialise in kites and such with juggling equipment a sideline.

I would recommend an online shop like firetoys.co.uk. I also think there is a thread somewhere in here that lists some other recommendations.

Tricks / Duicide - behind the back catch
« on: July 18, 2005, 08:08:50 AM »
Sometimes a whip catch makes it more difficult (it does with double duicides), concentrate on making it nice and smooth.

It should be the same move as duicide and catch to the front, with the difference being you take a step forward after throwing.
