We've had problems sorting out the venue for the performance, the venue we did have booked cancelled on us. We are currently seeing a new venue for the show but nothing is confirmed yet. So there is a posibility that there will not be a show but if there is tickets will be one or two pound more for the show.

Hi Guys, sorry for being online recently it's been age's since I've read any new posts on here, but the Convention is on the 6th from 9-5:30 in Hall 2 of the sports centre of Leeds university. Tickets are only £4 and £3 for NUS and concessions. The hall is twice as big as last year so there'll be plenty of vertax room without fear of hitting someone in the face. The facebook event is http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/event.php?eid=37085601167And our website is http://www.circsoc.com/Leeds-Juggling-Convention-2008See you there!

people don't really seem to care about Walton making a new diabolo forum. Why would they? Anyway my website was made entirely for the members to the Leeds University Circus Skills Society not just as a general diabolo chat website.

Well it'd be a bit of a waste giving it it's own section as it's the only 3D trick we got so far but thanks for checking it out

Woop one more member! And Leo I really do want to try and make the best diabolo tricks website for any age and any skill level, our current plans are to add videos to all the tricks and also add a section where we take all the tricks featured in our video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGK7D-hJAp4There would be a section of the site where anyone who likes to video can learn all the tricks with video tutorials. Additionally I could open up the website for your contributions, people would be able to write and submit their own diabolo trick articles for submission. If any body here would want to add a few pages of tricks I'd be really grateful, just leave a comment here and I'll do the necessary coding to allow users to add pages.

It's been a long time in the making but I've finally finished my new diabolo tricks site, http://www.circsoc.com/diabolo I've reorganised all the content from diabolotricks.net into separate articles, grouped into categories along the right hand side you can navigate through over 150 different tricks with detailed descriptions, most also with animations. Your can rate your favourites and there is also a button at the bottom of every trick so if you need extra help or want to tell us about a trick variation you can click "discuss" and it'll make a forum post for you including a link to the trick you need help with. The website is not just for diabolo there is also a growing list of juggling patterns using the JugglingLib Java animator and loads of photos and videos in our galleries. So check it out. Also if you looking for work as a professional performer in the Yorkshire area check out http://www.circsoc.com/work the find out how you can get paid work with CircSoc. Thanks Guys

Very nice I haven't seen that many videos featuring lady diabolists or so many stick tricks. All really good, great flow and body work. Really nice style and club moves looking forward to the next video

Does he just have the one diabolo costume? Maybe that's where he gets his super human diabolo powers, it's all in the purple suit.

Just wanted to announce the date so we didn't clash with any other big events. We are in a bigger hall than we were last year so there's more space for fun and games. And seeing as it's going to be close to Christmas we're going to organise a massive secret Santa during the games where everyone who has brought along a random present, as cheap as possible, can pick a random gift from the box.

You can find a detailed tutorial on the bottom of this page http://www.circsoc.com/cradles It's a set of drawings so it's pretty clear, and the diabolo doesn't have to come off the string, you can leave it on top of the star.

Yeah thats Luke Barton, more commonly known as Jack Sparrow or Orlando Bloom. We were fire spinning in the park recently and the police came over just to see what we were up to and as the officer started his fire safety talk he looked to luke and said "**** me it's Jack Sparrow" and from there they didn't seem to mind all the fire breathing.

Yeah we had to use a digital camera to the video quality could have been a little better, I think we are going to by a better camera for our circus skills group so our next one should be clearer. But thanks for your comments guys.

The popularity of circus skills has reached epidemic proportions. There is little resistance left. Shot in April 2008 the first video from "Thrown Across" created by Thomas Welton, Thom Shaw & Luke Barton, members of CircSoc; the Leeds University Circus Skills Society. was it really worth a video?!
Grrrrr, your a total idiot. This is a forum not a competition but congratulations, judging by your comment you obviously make better videos and are generally better at diabolo than this guy. But then again you've probably been practising a lot more. If your not going to give advice then your just being a bit of a twat. Yeah there were a lot of fans and not a lot of the tricks were really clean but it was good, the video shows loads of things that he wouldn't have been able to de before, try to remember just because the tricks you do now are better than this doesn't mean these tricks wouldn't have taken ages to be able to do and it's an achievement so you. It is worth a video

Yeah the trick I ended the video on I had never actually managed to finish, and I just wanted to throw the diabolo away really. And yes Hathaway you spotted the subtle sarcasm in the video description, it's not a very good idea at all. but thanks for the comments, and I actually prefer to pretend as though I'm lightly blowing the diabolo into vertax when doing that entry seems to confuse people a lot more.
