Nice video, and although the quality wasnt very good we could still see what was going on. I laughed at 3:20 when the diabolo hits the window.

Ive got them pretty well thanks to that link william, the only problem im sometimes having is when the right stick doesnt have enough speed to contimue round again after ive grabbed the string. But i think its just a matter of practice makes prefect. :P

Hi, i was watching some videos before and a couple of tomicides in one caught my eye. I had a mess around but couldnt figure out how to do them myself so i was wondering if anyone could give me a quick explanation? Or post a tutorial if anyone knows of one.
Thanks
James

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo tricks - crazy ideas
« on: January 16, 2008, 10:05:06 AM »
ok my idea is a grind cascade. You would grind 2 diabolos on one stick and 1 on the other then proceed to do a cascade juggling pattern :D... well the post is "crazy ideas" xD.
Obviously this would be best with something like wide axle flys.

HaHa, us in aus. are in mid summer... id say our winters are mostly warmer/more dry than many European summers anyway  :P
However my town has actually just flooded :o but were past that now.

I had this problem too, i think the pain was caused by doing "whip acceleration" (not sure of name). I tried to rest it but couldnt resist just a little bit of practice.
Id say if you have the convention in a week maybe just polish up the not-so-violent-movements tricks your working on but try to give it a good rest overall.

Gear / Re: Where to buy?
« on: January 14, 2008, 05:22:29 AM »
well im choosing between jugglingstore.com and juggleart.com.au... jugglingshops shipping is gonna be pretty expensive to Australia, about 50USD! The thing is they are alot cheaper... circus is 44USD which is about 51USD instead of 65AUD  :-\... but ive got 24 hours till my credit card clears so ill figure what would be cheaper overall today. thanks for everyones responses.

Gear / Where to buy?
« on: January 13, 2008, 06:23:25 AM »
Hi Diabolo.ca. Ok, im just about to buy some new equipment - ive decided on 2x Henry Circuses, a pair of aluminium handsticks and a ball for doing contact juggling (not sure what yet). So i know what i want to get but not where to get it from... i was just wondering what everyones favorite shops were. Im particularly interested in Australian and USA shops online (because the aussie dollar is so strong against the american dollar right now). So could you guys tell me what your favorite shop is and why as well as some info like if their shipping costs are expensive ect.
Thanks  :)

Gear / Re: Harlequins? Are circus really that much better?
« on: January 07, 2008, 11:01:39 PM »
Hmmm... ok thanks, it seems like circus is the way to go for me -stability and a little bit lighter.
Also, currently i am using wooden sticks and would like to change to new ones soon, the aluminiums look like the way to go... except for the fact that they damage the circus? can someone tell me how badly they damage it and does it effect performance? or should i just go for another stick? Thanks for all the fast responses guys :)
Also i could order finnesse in but currently they are out of stock.
BTW: Jake im in north/eastern NSW just below the gold coast. ;)

Gear / Harlequins? Are circus really that much better?
« on: January 07, 2008, 08:50:23 AM »
Hi Diabolo.ca
Ok, this is my first post and i just started diaboloing a week and a half ago ;D, i am starting to experiment with more tricks (just got genocides and am working on infinite suicides right now) and think it would be good to get some better gear  :D. So, im in australia and the best shop here IMO is "JuggleArt". Harlequins and Circuses are both going the for 65AUD and the only difference i could see was that harlequins are 2mm smaller and 50g lighter. My buddy who got me into diabolo has harlequin and there great. However... i was reading the guide and noticing the general mood on the forums and it seems that everyone likes circuses but i havent heard mention of harlequins yet... ??? so i was wondering if and if so, why, circuses are so much better than Harlequins.
As ill be buying 2 and expect to use them for some time i would like the opinion of someone who has used Halrequins as well as the many who have used circus to give me a good idea of pros/cons of the 2 varietys :)
thanks
James
