Gear / LED Kit on Sun from Diabolomoves
« on: March 12, 2008, 08:40:05 PM »

I'm getting an LED from Diabolomoves and wondered if anyone has one similiar.  I'm from the US and this a European site.  What kind of batteries does it require?  Is it rechargeable?  The site doesn't have much information and I haven't heard back from them yet?  Any help is appreciated.  --  Micah  --

Cool thx!

I'll get some wide axle suns and mess around.  Later I'll get a fly and check out the ball bearing.  I think the wide axle will help me with vertax moves and catching 2 diabolos a little better.  You guys are the bomb diggety!  Thx for all the advice from all of you! :)

Is wide axle sun a good diabolo for vertax moves?  I've tried a number of times with narrow axle circus and it's like no way.  --  Micah  --

Yea sheds some light.  I'll really only know till I put in some practice time.  I have a fairly solid infinite suicide with my circus with a chinese magic knot finish but who doesn't?  I'm just itchin' to get new diabolos and never tried a ball bearing diabolo really.
I do play a lot outside.  I've had my circuses for years and other then scratched up they still play fine.
I can do 2d OK, but have a hard time with suns and fans.  I was thinking maybe getting fly's with ball bearing axles would help but dunno'.  My best bet is probably get them both and see what I like better.  :)  Thx for your comments  --  Micah  --

How come I can't see the running poll till after I vote?

Seems more people like flys over suns.  Is that 'cos of the bearing axle?  What's the big hype over finesse other then all the mods?  Old school circus plays better.  AAAghhh!  I can't make up my mind.

I appreciate your remarks.  What's the big difference between ball bearing and fixed axle?  Ball bearing can spin longer?  Allowing more consecutive tricks like doing infinite suicide for longer periods of time?  I remember reading someone had a hard time with 2d right stick consecutive string wraps with ball bearing diabolos.  I picked up a spinabolo a long time ago and it had a ball bearing but I played on it for only a few minutes.  Your advice is appreciated as I've only been a fixed axle player myself.  --  Micah  --

Hi, I'm Micah.
I love diabolo!  I'm new to the forum and wanted to give a shout out to all the other diabololists in the world.
I've spent 2 hours reading and still cannot find a conclusive decision regarding sun vs fly.
I'm a henry's circus player, am OK, not the bomb diggety by any means.  I can do 2d high over the arm crossing from arm to arm or columns over the same arm.  I'm gonna' buy a twist kit to make my circus axle wide and probably 2 new diabolos, either fly or sun.  I'm not a fan of the finesse but like all the customizeable features.
I've not spent any significant time on ball bearing axles.  So far I'm leaning towards Sun 'cos of the durability, the crystal color with LED, and the fixed axle but fly seems sweet, and customizeable, and Ryo uses fixed axle wide fly's right?  I've always just been a circus player.  It's a decision I have to make on my own but have not played with either.  Any suggestions are welcome.  Sorry if this is redundant.  I've read so many other posts about the same topic.  Peace yo, keep it spinning and don't drop!  --  Micah  --
