Anyone have a used Monobolo with bearings they would sell?

I would like to try one out, but don't want to pay full price for a new one.

Gear / Sundia Triple bearing diabolo cups
« on: July 09, 2010, 05:54:33 PM »
Does anyone know where you can get new Sundia Triple bearing cups? Just the cups you know.

Thank you

I made $150 at the local public library.

I did a diabolo demonstration and then a short show. I did not even name the price. That is just what they paid me.

I knew they had programs for kid and teenagers so I just went by asked if they would like to have me come do a show/demonstration. (I explained   them what it was and what I would be doing)

the firefli 'comet' and meteor' are good. I have the comet, but the meteor is newer and they claim it's better balanced.

Are the fire diabolos smaller than regular diabolos? (like finesse) How big is the comet or meteor compared to finesse?

Gear / What diabolo should I get for my little Bro?
« on: April 27, 2010, 03:06:26 AM »
My little brother is starting to get a little better at diabolo. Good enough to always be wanting to use my diabolos instead of his (Higgins element).

I want to get him one for his birthday, but he is still only 9 years old. Not sure if I should get him a full size diabolo.

Any suggestions?

Is the reason you came up with it in hopes of it becoming widely used and well known?

No. I was just playing around with cradles and thought it looked pretty cool.

I guess I was asking was it good enough for people to say like "Hey! That a trick I haven't seen before. Looks pretty cool! Maybe I will try it."  That kind of thing.

I guess I wasn't thinking very well when I said "official" seeing as diabolo doesn't really have set rules.

Cross Bones

Hopefully this will help those wanting to know how to do the trick.

I have some hand made wood sticks that increase the "cross bones" look. And I'm really wishing I had a Fire diabolo to do it with.
I think it would look Awesome like that!

Tell me, Do you like "Cross bones" or "The Jolly Roger" better for a name?

It just looks like that because of the camera or something. It actually still had good speed on it.

Brand New "Cross Bones" Cradle"

I have been working on this brand new cradle.

Let me know what you think of it!  Is it good enough to be an official diabolo trick?

I am using my Sundia because I'm not fast enough to use my finesse yet.

You should get an account with Yoyosams

You can ask them for a club discount code. It gets you 10% when you use the code. You could give it to all your students.
Plus! Once you get to $200 you start earning credit for your club (school?)

Here is the email I got explaining it to me...

Hi Billy,

It’s up to you if you’d like to open an account in the Club’s name or just keep it under your name.  If the mailing address is going to be the same, I think you may as well leave it in your name.  But your call.

Your code is: [removed by moderator]

·         It expires of 3/31/10 (you can renew at that time)

·         You’re credit earned will be posted to your account  at the end of the month, after the $200 dollar  threshold is met. (let us know if you make a new club account).

·         Credits must be used by the first of each year.

Thanks for signing up.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Tricks / Re: I just learnt to... (2009)
« on: August 27, 2009, 11:25:57 PM »

I just got a Unibolo today. I've been trying it out. It kinda cool, but I don't know what all I can do with it.

Does anyone else have any experience with a Unibolo? Or know a site where I can learn tricks to do with it?

Hello! My name is Billy Jackson

Location: I live in the St. Louis, MO area if the USA
Website:none(I have a web site but it is for wedding photography  :))

1. How many years have you diaboloed for? about 1/2

2. What or who got you started? My little brother found one a the dollar store. We broke that in no time at all so I decided to get a real one of ebay.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general? Doing the tricks of course!

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average? Usually about 1/2 hour I guess, but some days more.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo? Not for real, just for friends.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ? Nope. None of them. I only do diabolo. (actually I like to hackysack, but that came differently) I REALLY want to try learning the unicycle, but MAN! they can be expensive!

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string? All I have is a Henry's JAZZ, and Henry's beachdiabolo, they are roughly the same weight but I am looking for two finesses to work with. I use Henry's fiber sticks. I'm not sure what my string is. It's white. :)

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best? Trying to learn 2d

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do?  Don't know. I'm starting to get the vertax, which is cool. I like suicides, but can't figure out how to do infinites the right way :embarassed:

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done? There is so many of them that I've seen. I'm still trying to figure out what is what when I see it. That William lang guy is really cool though.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)? 2d, vertax, infinite suicides, and tons of other stuff I'm still trying to learn.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you? Juggling Jeff at the Shakespeare and the Park in Forest park St. Louis]
