Hey everybody!

Just wondering if anyone here was planning on going to the IJA Festival this year. If you don't know it's in Portland, Oregon this year from July 18-23. There's more info here. Hope to see a few of you there!  :D

I can do this trick after watching ryo at the IJA, and I've found that the speed of the diabolo is not that important, because it speeds up when its in vertax. I find it easier at a slower speed to get it in the position.

As for the trick, you really have to focus on keeping the diabolo going at a constant speed and, when it starts to get vertical, to bend forward a little and drop your arms down a bit. Hope this helps  :)

That reminds me of the renegade show at IJA, Ryo did 3 diabolos with a string a little longer than that and stood on a chair.

didnt Ryo invent the Fan 360?

That's what he said at the IJA diabolo workshop.

Any way got a new neck combo thingy with 1 diabolo and finally got a 180 fan and have hit the 360 fan twice. Also can do a 97531 with 5 balls yay!

I think that alot of people might try 3 diabolos very early because it is a lot easier to tell what is happening in a 3 diabolo shuffle than say some of Antonin's crazy 1 diabolo combos or Makky's 2 diabolo stuff. When some people see those kind of tricks they might say to themselves "Wow that's cool, but I have no idea what he just did!" Then the same person might see a video of someone shuffling three and say "Wow, that's only just another diabolo, maybe I can do that." I think people go on to three diabolos after only learning a few basic trick with one and two because three seems a lot easier than some crazy one or two diabolo tricks.

Ryo did an around the body excaliber at the IJA. Instead of going into excaliber by tilting the cup closest to you down, he would tilt it up, like inverse excaliber. The easiest way he got into it was doing constant correction while going around the body. I hope you can understand this... If not heres a picture

Tricks / Re: 3 diabolo shuffle: help! (wrap start & asynch shuffle)
« on: July 30, 2005, 07:03:19 PM »
I'm having a problem with popping up the diabolo with my left hand when I'm trying for an asynch shuffle. Some of the time the diabolo go straight across to the other handstick, while other times it will pop up about head height. I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how to fix this... :?

How about 5051

You're probably thinking of 52512.

Tried the 52512 today a few times and got it once or twice but the shuffle collapsed on itself when i passed it from hand to hand

At the IJA, there is a used props auction, so your friend might get lucky and get a henry's circus for a good price.
