Videos / 3d mini columns help
« on: May 28, 2012, 05:58:37 PM »
im having some troubles with exiting 3d mc.
i took a few clips of attempts, please tell me what im doing wrong ^^

3d mini columns fails

First of all - i totally agree win Tim: who cares about diabolo world record?
just to make things clear:
4d low record was by guillaume of like 1:06/1:07min if i remember correctly, and Chen Jie Zhu broke the record just now.
4d around the leg is really nothing to care about...
5 high official record is by ofek of like 50 something catches, but i do believe tony has his pattern close to solid by now... i remember he did the 5up 360 and the 66661 like almost 2 years ago on youtube (august 2010) so that means his pattern was pretty good back then so imagine how good it is now...
5 low record is either by robin or by another guy i was told about that i dont know his name, that had a better 5 low than robin's, but none of them have a long run out for now...

Videos / Re: Diabolo.Ca Collaberation 2012?
« on: April 04, 2012, 05:41:09 AM »
a collab video is released in the end of every year. (around december or january of the next year)
when that time is up, the editor is volunteering and anyone that wants to take part in the video uploads his clips (trimming them before uploading is better) to mediafire or any fire sharing sites.
then you email the link with your name, city, and country to the email which i have no clue if is the same every year or the change it  :P

and then the editor probably will put you in ^^

Gear / Re: which sticks
« on: January 11, 2012, 11:47:28 AM »
it depends;
you say you dont go a lot of 1d and 2d, which means the weight of the sticks doesnt matter (it really matters for most people doing integrals).
you are pretty new for diabolo (1 year +-) and you will start getting into integrals in the next few months (thats what happens for most diaboloists)
if you are 100% sure you wont try integrals, get henrys alu, they are nice and stiff.
if you think you will get into integrals soon, get henrys carbons.
you can always order extremes from or other shops, or just learn integrals using alu sticks (some people prefer them for that)
i prefer carbons because they are just pure awesomeness  8)

Gear / taibolo parts
« on: December 28, 2011, 06:20:58 AM »
i managed to bend the metal screw that goes through the taibolo (through the hubs, washers, and axle itself)
is there a shop that sells them?

Gear / Re: Medium or Large for 2D?
« on: December 27, 2011, 08:57:40 AM »
i would say stick with glary taibolos and get 1 more glary, or get 2 light version suns.
light version suns weight 255 grams, the normal sun weights 275 grams, and the heavy suns weight 290 grams.
the most popular finesses are G3 and G4:
G3 weights 255 grams and G4 weights 275 grams. (you can add weight kits to them, or wide axle kits)
the circus weights 300 grams normally, but there are a lot of different axles that you can buy and put instead of the normal axle to make it lighter, or make the axle wider or make the gap between the cups larger [that is much more comfortable than the normal axle])
I personally think finesses and circuses are bad so i would say not to stick with them (but thats my personal opinion)

Gear / Re: New to Bearing Diabolos
« on: December 06, 2011, 01:36:43 PM »
bearings normally make the saw sound dont worry.
yeah thats the idea of the name "on way" - it spins to only 1 direction.
also its nearly impossible to do the elevator with bearings.
