EJC 2014 was so much fun. And Scrat actually managed to film a bunch of diabolo stuff and put together an amazing video.

Love to all of you. <3

And thanks to everyone involved.

PS: I'm posting on his behalf as he's not having internet right now.

Such a great event, thanks for setting it up! Too bad I missed the last bits because I was already setting up the camera at the open stage.

The only thing I'd add next time would be a very first round where everyone shows one or two tricks to determine who actually gets to compete in the 1on1 battles. That's how the devilstick people did it the day before. It worked pretty well as you get to see the more interesting people more than once instead of losing them in the first round.

That being said, hope it happens again next year! :)

@wis: I've just sent you the footage of the ~10 rounds I filmed

We had a lot of fun at the small convention of Hannover(Germany) this past weekend. I just put together some clips yesterday. It's mainly diabolo with some photos of the fire-show. Enjoy. :)

Could you please upload that at some place other than youtube? Like JTV or Vimeo?

Ironically, the video is not allowed to be played here in Germany due to copyright-restrictions.

It's cool to see a technically good performance without the need of pulling out more than one diabolo. It's been a while. :)

I liked your choice of tricks a lot - the isolation stuff was really good and worked perfectly with your body movement. As for the performance in general, I did however miss some movement on the stage. Diabolo is one of the hardest kind of prop to fill this enormous space on stage but it would have been great to see some new ideas on that.

Your costume is cool - and so unique. It would have worked even better on a real stage with dark lighting and masses of smoke surrounding you, I guess.

Thanks for sharing and greetings from rainy Germany,

This is just incredible!

Take that Olek Shilton!  ;)
Why does everything in life has to be a competition? Why can't we all just be happy how far diabolo has gotten in the last few years?
Personally I am glad that diabolo isnt as competitive as ball/club/ring-juggling. Of course there are competitions but I prefer just being part of a great community of sharing and living the joy of the art of diabolo.

Hey guys,

to those who dont know me anymore: I am Flo, organizer of the Diabolocamp-conventions in Germany and the guy who runs the german diaboloforum (at

Some time back in 2008 I must have stopped practicing diabolo. My skill hasn't changed a bit since then.

When I came to the EJC in München I was so impressed by the current technical level that I decided to try getting back on track. As a start I made a short video of my skill as of today. Let's see how it will change during the next few weeks and months.

Some months have already passed since our last diabolocamp in Germany in March 2010. Now I have finally found the time to make a video from what we filmed back then.

So today I bring you the sweetness of some good oldschool 4:3-video from us german guys.

By the way: At the end of January 2011 we will be having the next Diabolocamp at the same location where this video has been filmed. Infos and registration is online at

He's amazing. My favourites are his arm-stall exit at 3:30 (and the one at the end of course) and his unbelievably beautiful 3d anti-shuffle.

Hi, finally I have finished my EJC diabolo video. Some of you may have seen me filming at the convention - so here it is.
You will recognize many known faces in the background as well - sadly I couldnt film everyone I would have wanted to... maybe next time. :)

I recommend downloading and watching in full screen with your sound turned on - it's worth it.

Download (35 mb Xvid Avi):

uhm... seriously: what is your point in posting this?
you have nice diabolos, but what exactly are you explaining? ???

So colour- and styleful!
Cool to finally have you online Sergej ;)

Pranay, your videos keep getting better everytime you put something new online. I am always amazed how you manage to do that ;)

Love you 2, hoping to see you soon on a convention.
