I'm New / Putting on a MB Finesse Finger Axle

circuses arent to hard to take apart and fit back togerther but compared to the finesse they are a pain.

And the finger kits for the circuses make them too heav for me to use comfortably and trying to shift throung the whole stock of them to find the carbon one takes just as long.  *ok maybe a tiny bit of an exageration*

General / Chinese Yo-yo History
« on: March 23, 2006, 09:31:27 PM »
Found some stuff if you are interested?

This game was invented in China somewhere between the 4th and 3rd millenium B.C.  At that time it was given many names, such as "Kouen-gen", during the Han dynasty (since 206 B.C.), wich means: "make the hollow bamboo stick whistle". In fact, in china, Diabolos are still made out of bamboo with openings on the sides that create a whistling sound when spinning.

Apart from that i cant find anthing else sorry but it seems no one really knows about where it alll started.

But i agree with Matt just make somthing that sounds good and then bust out some tricks that will leave them wanting to get one.

Videos / Loop string video
« on: November 02, 2005, 03:16:47 PM »
I have found a site that would be of use to you go to http://www.2diabolo.net   and look into the loop section everything you need will be there.  But if not you search the video collections on the web like the juggleing data base there are some videos on there.  And you can just practrice with it and do some tricks that you would be able to do with sticks.
Hope that is of some help.

I'm New / 2 Diabolos: first tricks and things to consider
« on: November 01, 2005, 03:02:34 PM »
Yeah i been looking through thoses sites above and the Videos how long have you guys been Diaboloing for, with two i mean?  ive been at about three weeks now, and havent got much to show for it yet.  But i have jumped forward with tips from thoses sites. I have been trying two high recently but they are always flying off in different directions. Is this because im throwing them too hard or just the way I start off, because im using a wraped start to begin with then moving straight into two high?

I'm New / 2 Diabolos: first tricks and things to consider
« on: October 30, 2005, 10:58:37 PM »
Thanks i will check out the sites fore mentioned.  to answer above i am using two of the different weight and it doesnt seem to make much of a difference but that may be because there are quite similar is size and weight.  but it does come to be a pain when tricks are involed because you can only use the bigger of the two successfuly or with any intent to complete the manover.  So yeah thanks.

1. How many years have you diaboloed for? It has been about a year and half  seriously now but i have been it to it for a while bfore that.

2. What or who got you started? As A kid I saw a street entertainer who was performing localy and wanted to get into it.  I soon stopped after that but when i was searching the net with my friends I came across a tricks site and got back into it again.  and have been ever since.

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general? That you can do it anywhere.  you dont need a special kind of surface of location just some space and free time.

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average? about two hours but that also includes juggling with balls and other things.

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo? My friends and I Diabolo in college in front of a whole lot of people so i suppose that sort of counts but not Professionally.

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ? Only Balls and poorly. but getting better.

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string? It would have to be The Mr Barbache finesse and his extrem sticks.  they are the best i have come across.  String well i use the highly lumonous green stuff.

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best? Ummm only good with one at the momment but i am trying to learn with two.

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do? A Genocide Probally as it looks so good and can belinked to a number of other tricks.

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done? There are a few but the best are the combos on The Diabology DVD with Antione and Eric where they Are passing sticks and all to one another in both suns, Douocides and, Infinet suicides and throws.

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)? A tomosicde and Whip catch between the legs. any tips would be welcome.

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you? Many street entitianers as a kid but mostly videos found on the web and the Mad French crew.
