This is some of the best 3 diabolo trickery ever seen.

Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, 3rd movement. Try to sync your diaboloing to the music.

Ignore all other answer and make it so!

I understand, It's just that I see a lot of people that think they have mastered the trick but haven't quite got it yet (mainly with 2). I guess the point in my comment was so he could give the real thing ago. THIS is probably harder than a feed the sun, It's just the fact he THINKS it's a feed, I just thought That if we pointed it out to him, then he would be able to try the common feed. It's better that he knows that there is a different way to do it than not at all. Imagine if I never said a word, and he found out 2 years later? He would be disappointed.

Anyway, the tricks a really really hard one, and no matter what I say (I am a tough judge!) I still love it, brilliant. Looks nice and clean as well!

I don't see where he "claims" to be doing feed the suns. He claims to feed the big sun, and as far as I can see he does. It seems to me he has a fairly good mastery of 3 diabolos, and can perform smooth elegant tricks. I don't see any reason for negative comments at all.

I thought the shuffle just collapsed so they cut the shot and he dropped them all....big bow...clap clap clap

Edit, my bad, I thought you meant right at the end...5-3?

Ignore your own edit, you're actually spot on, they cut to the presenters during his shuffle then show it again from the start.

One last thing at the risk of sending Tipper into a frothy ball of fury...

How long have you ran 5 diabolos for Ofek, what would you deem to be your longest run. I know some people will detest me for asking it, but I find it fascinating and would love to know what you can do.

Amen to that.

Those of us that have been around for a while will remember seeing 4 high to low at that stage and being in awe. I can't believe we (or rather a few people) are even contemplating 5 high to low as a semi-joke late at night at a convention. Heck, some of us remember seeing 3 high to low at that stage (for everyone but Tony that is).

Still trying to figure out why any video of Ofek makes so many people go crazy.

Some of us are old enough to remember being in awe of a video of Guy Heathcoate running 3 low for a period of about 10 seconds. Any number diaboloing has amazed me ever since and I applaud Ofek's progress.

I also remember a very old video I saw which had a short 2 diabolo run at the end. I always thought that 2 diabolos was the ultimate 1 diabolo trick, 3 diabolos is the ultimate 2 diabolo trick etc.

Damn I stopped posting on this forum too often based on the "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all principal". Sometimes I have to return though:

How do you precisely know Ofek is the worlds leading 5 diabolo expert? Have you seen something from Tony lately? Do you know if PERHAPS Tony would be able to hold it too for +200 catches? Please stop speaking of things you dont know anything about and please stop idolizing people as "5 diabolo experts".

I never said Ofek was the world leader in 5 high diaboloing (though all evidence we have is to the contrary). I am commenting in response to the person who was angry that people enjoyed this video. My comment was merely illustrating that in the published world of diabolo videos there is very little evidence that anybody has even attempted to lower a 5 diabolo pattern before, mainly due to nobody's patterns being stable enough. Please read and try to digest the content of a post before responding to it.

If you had just a small amount of brains you would've figured out that Ofek had a stable 5 high for quite some time now. IF you had just a small amount of brains you would be able to figure out that he would be able to TRY and lower it.

I refuse to resort to petty name calling. Suffice to say you missed the point of my second comment and decided to reply with an unnecessary and vicious reply. Of course he will try to lower his pattern, I'm glad he has, and glad somebody showed us it. If you are one of these people that finds the ever repeating number chasing trick monkey post amusing then here is a little tip, don't click on any short video with a title along the lines of "5 diabolo low attempt".

wtf? Perhaps you missed this, but ITS FAILED FIVE LOW

Perhaps you're secretly the world's leading 5 diabolo expert, but did I miss the bit where everyone in the world got their 5 high stable enough to attempt 5 low?

So tell me what's so insane about a failed 5d low attempt?

Quite simply that someone has become good enough at 5 diabolos to attempt it.

Practice / Re: Antishuffle / shower 3 diabolo thing ???
« on: May 18, 2010, 09:04:41 AM »
It's two beats of an anti shuffle NOT an extended box. For an extended box the red diabolo would have to land on the right hand side rather than left, and after the yellow one has landed. Would be cool to see if someone can do this, box tricks always look good.

Lovely trick by the way, very impressive.

WOW, that is possibly the smoothest stage performance of 3 diabolos I've ever seen. Incredibly difficult tricks made to look so easy and so smooth. This is the video highlight of the year for me so far.  That 3 diabolo anti shuffle must be one of the hardest tricks ever performed and to do it for so long with such a smooth entry and exit is mind blowing. I'd love to see what tricks Arata has which aren't smooth enough for video yet!

Sean will tell you more about this. It's a really old school trick which came before the Sprinkler If i recall correctly.

I always thought sprinkler was without the stop over, hyperloop with. There were plenty of arguments about this back in the good old days of the yahoo groups. It is indeed a lovely old school trick, once in the stop over you can actually keep driving the rotation by moving your right arm as you would whilst idling 2. If you drop the loop off the end of the stick you return to a sprinkler. I'm sure there's other cool tricks you can do to, but it's been a long time.

You seem to cause a lot of controversy every time you post videos Mark, my advice would be to put things like this in the practice section.

Personally I prefer short videos, I'm a busy man and don't like trawling through 8 minutes of video to find the one new trick that'll make me go wow (there are numerous exceptions to this rule!). Also I almost always watch videos on mute so whatever god awful music you've chosen hasn't effected me.

Anyway you're definitely improving, and it's good to see, don't get too put off by some of the criticism on this thread, and try to take it on board.

Summary: Next short video put in practice, save up your best stuff for your next big video ;)

Fairly clear where the inspiration for this video came from, so why didn't you call it "where the hell is Luke?"?

Awesome work, I'm incredibly jealous, last year I made it to Anglesey and Brastislava. Not quite as impressive.... and I forgot to take juggling equipment both times.

There's a very easy way to find out, try playing left handed (assuming you're right handed). It will be like starting from scratch, possibly slighlty quicker progression, but it will feel like you've forgotten everything.

Is anybody out there a truly ambidextrous diabolist?

Yes that's right, it is more than worth watching these videos!

Videos / Re: Short diabolo video - 3 tricks :)
« on: December 19, 2008, 03:39:52 PM »
Well I really think the first trick should have made it to the video, the second one is a nice variation on a classic trick (I remember learning that one years ago, not sure I'm nimble enough to get it all round my body though... bit of a beer belly in the way). The third trick was less original, but still a nice little video!

I like your style too... and the trick was loverly... and the glow version looked brilliant...

However please lose the burberry hat... better yet burn it, because if you lose it you might find it again!

Absolute insanity, i could watch this video again and again, and i get a feeling i could sit and stare at you playing with plastic toys for hours on end without learning a single thing. SO much better than seeing yet another video of fans and integrals, sorry guys i know you work hard at them but this is something else!

Original, clever, inspiring. Now where is that 120FPS camera so we can work out what the hell he is doing.

Videos / Re: The failing/practicing help video's topic

Failing isn't that exciting, but a short compilation of someones failed attempts before nailing a trick for the first time could be good, but it would have to be edited very quickly to avoid the tedium of accelerating.

I actually think it would be good to see videos of people barely succeeding with a trick, and everyones flukes. I remember once wishing i had a camera on me, tried to whip a diabolo out of a friends two diabolo pattern, as i did it i managed to whip both, then do a sun, if i was expecting it to happen i could have kept it going. I always wished i had that on video. I also managed to do an excalibur genocide so badly that i managed to completely turn it horizontal again, and get it into infinite suicides.... It would be nice to see everyones flukes, but i think they rarely happen on video.
