The people who throw their, O so intelligent, comments at me are 60 to 70 years younger than that charming granny. And they are male. So no action for me either.

(too much?)
No :-*

Missed fdc again! Two times in a row now. I should have quit my job a couple of days earlier.

Seems like it was a lot of fun this year too.

Hoping to see you live sometime.

the final trick cracked me up. Several times. Does the guy shout YAY! or EI!(no, in english)?

Thanks for the clips. That part 5 goes all funky in the middle though. Funny cutting. Liked the close-up of Tommi's face though.

The entire diabolo community doesn't bother to read this thread.

He propably posts these videos because he wants more hints and tips, silly.  :)

Videos / Re: don't act like stupid

Funny video. :)

Kick up's a fairly easy way to get the second diabolo in your hand. And it looks way cooler than that other method.

Videos / Re: Pierre Marchand versus Jacob Sharpes
« on: March 12, 2008, 05:25:37 PM »
I think Pierre is funny, even though that may not be his intention. He moves like a dancer from the 80's musicvideos, doesn't he?

If I got to choose between the two performances, I would go see Jacob's show with live music and whatnot.

Actually some 9-13 saw me juggling on the
street and started to comment that his brother is better.
Boys in that age tend to have someone they admire and try to mimic. Big bro's a typical example of this. I remember my relationship with my brother a few years back. I just hope I didn't cause him too much trouble by bragging to kids 2 years older than him : :-X.

And Marko, diaboloing is a growing sport, or should I say form of entertainment in Finland. I'm 100% sure that we'll see some members of the opposite sex on stage doing something spectacular some day. We'll just have to wait and lure new people in. :)

You should use your previous the topics you started previously to ask these questions. I'm sure there are many existing threads on the subject. Use them, please.

Try to look intimidating, grow a couple of feet in length and gain 50 pounds. Shave your head and add some freaky tattoos. This'll probably take a couple of years, but after that no one will bother your diaboloing anymore.

And don't take everything so seriously :) You'll learn in a few years that just chilling is the way to go.

2) if i dont know him i REALLY like to meet him/her.
Especially if its a she. Are there any performing female diaboloists in Finland?

Performances / Re: Jacob Sharpe solo act

I liked it immensely. Your style is very clean and clear. For some reason I just love your 1d stick releases, they look beautiful and this wasn't the first time i thought of that while watching.

The 2d start may slow the pace down a little bit, but I think it is not necessarily a bad thing. It might build up tension in your audience, in a good way, and give them some time to adjust and applaud. That is, if you're performing for non-diabolo people.

Extra points for the super duper quality, I love it when I can see the string so clearly. Magical :)
