Videos / Happy Oree Friends - Pretty Trippy Party
« on: October 22, 2011, 11:01:44 PM »
Hello everyone!
After many indecisions and thinkings with myself and other people, I decided to release the "Happy Oree Friends - Pretty Trippy Party" video for free.
I deeply appreciate and thank to those who paid for the video, and sorry if they feel some injustice.
Exactly one year passed since I released the video for sale, and there were quite a few people who bought it.
I felt a bit shame that probably the biggest video I made, with many good jugglers who put hard work in it, is going to be buried and archived.
It's probably harder for me because all my other videos are free.
Anyway, I'm not sure what's the exact reason for the lack of purchases.. Maybe it's bad marketing, maybe jugglers just don't buy juggling videos online, etc.
If you do want to donate, you can do it here - http://jugglingequipment.com/dvd/hof-dvd.html

All in all, I'm (obviously) very happy we made this video and admiring the general support of the international juggling community.
Here is the video -

Enjoy!!

Hello again,
The video is now back!
After a short break of fixing stuff and thinking we decided to keep the price as low as possible, so more people can enjoy it.
Eventually we reduced 5€ and now it stands on 7€.
There are options to add more if you like.

So, here is again the purchasing link:
http://jugglingequipment.com/dvd/hof-dvd.html

I also uploaded a short part from the video itself for free:

Hello Everybody!

After more than a year and a half of planning, 4 countries, dozens of hours of filming and editing, I'm more than proud and excited to present the "Happy Oree Friends - Pretty Trippy Party" video!
I consider this project as somekind of a peak for me, both juggling and video production wise.
It is a collaboration of mostly Israeli and non Israeli jugglers and performers.
Working on it was not continouous and most of the times I found myself filming on occasionals chances. So basically there wasn't a clear script or plot - take it to wherever you want.
It's not very related to the previous Happy Oree Friends videos, though most of the previous happy friends are in this one.

All of the participants (A-Z):
Aaron Tobiass, Ayal Benin, Bar Mualem, Boaz Nir-Shallom, Daniel Bareket, Dekel Azulay, Edgar Groll, Lorenzo Mastropietro, Neta Oren, Noam Geller, Ori Roth, Pavel Evsukevich, Ron Beeri, Tavo Del Prato, Uri Zelig, Yaniv Eliash, Yuval Roth.

You can get the impression of what's going on there here:
Youtube: Happy Oree Friends - Pretty Trippy Party - trailer
JTV: Happy Oree Friends - Pretty Trippy Party promo - juggling videos hosted @ Juggling.tv

Purchase it here:
http://jugglingequipment.com/dvd/hof-dvd.html

Length: 55:19 minutes
Format: WMV PAL 720X576 , 805 MB (zipped)
Cost: 12 Euros

There is another MP4 version on it's way. So if you want you can wait for tonight/tomorrow morning when it will be available.

We're working on a DVD disc version, which obviously will be in better quality and higher price.
You can also join our facebook "like" group to get more updates:

There are too many thanks to thank here, but basically I want to thank all of you, this world's juggling community, who supported and inspired me so much.
Enjoy!

Videos / Re: IJC 2009 open stage - Dekel Azulay
« on: February 06, 2010, 12:40:39 AM »
Hmmm... let me try to clarify some issues....
Dekel did go down for 4 low and right after he managed to pull a 5346337441(6x, 2x), (2X, 6X) to a blind whip, of all four of them. no.
He actually dropped again after a second or two and I think he tried again and did about the same run but with a clean finish.
It's funny because in shows he can barely hold 4 high and on practice he can do it like.... forever.. I guess it's pressure or something...
He doesn't get much of any practice except conventions and in our juggling club a couple of times a month.. very busy little man he is.
I do hope he will nail 4 low on stage one day.. should be cool :)

Thanks everyone again,
Some more answers -

It is the Frankfurt airport.. well, most of the video.
We came there right after the last day of the EJC and we had like 20 hours to spend there.. so... yeah..
Actually there are 4 airports in it - Frankfurt, Tel Aviv, Antalya and Budapest.

We took the risk.. it seemed like the workers somewhat enjoyed it...

The rest of the video (the last quarter) was filmed in Tel Aviv itself.

I have no idea how to call that feed the sprinkler trick......

I don't think I'm going to the 4 diabolo low anytime soon......... don't worry...

And thanks for the featuring, Sean!

This time it's Dekel Azulay flying high 4 the low.

Special thanks to Hercules.

Interesting note on the music:
I recognised the second song as being none other than Billy Holiday's version of Gloomy Sunday, remixed. Gloomy Sunday, aka the "Hungarian Suicide Song", is considered by some to be the most depressing song on record; the original allegedly caused over a hundred suicides in Hungary.

The video was great, nice to see a whole bunch of creative, original stuff.

(has been watching too much QI)

Wow!! Thanks a lot for the information!  :o
Now I just hope you all diabolists won't hang yourself with the string....

Thanks again everyone.
Just wanted to add that Miki did all the filmings and I edited what he gave me.
I tried to play a bit with the colors to make it more clear, but some backgrounds just had pretty much the same color as his diabolos.. oh well.. next time.. :-)

@ Josh - B# was just at the very end of December 07.

As for the video, pretty much everything has been said. I did particularly love how most of his moves were well placed into the songs. What's the name of the second song, Ori? I quite liked that one.

-Duncan

Thanks a lot everyone!
The name of the second song is "oengyilkos vasarnap" by (as already yelled) "Venetian snares". The first one is "Kindness" by "Renaissance".

BTW, I've uploaded it also to JTV ,so you can download it..

Hello!
It's quite rare for me to post here, but since I made this video and Miki isn't really up to web juggling stuff, I'm doing it!
So, hope you'll like it, as it's the first only diabolo video I've ever edited  ::) -

Yeah.. pretty amazing...
Segev told we that was shot half a year ago and now he's doing it much better.
I also saw him doing 4 longer recently.. watching him and Dekel practicing 4 at the same gym almost every week is very insparational to me (also makes me being very proud of the juggling scene in Israel)..
btw, I think Dekel did 50 seconds with 4 few months ago..
Keep on practicing..!
