Hey guys,

I saw this and thought I had to share it. It features Ethan White from the diabolo brothers spinning some D's, highlighted by Syracuse film student Aron Romanoff (Director and Editor). It's part diabolo and part epic saga. Enjoy!

Hello fellow diabolists,
It has been a very long time since I've last shared a video on this forum (nearly two years!) So here is my most recent video. Edited on Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Express with footage collected from the past several months. I did the editing last night but I am still happy with the finished product. Please feel free to throw in some comments or suggestions, I'd love to hear 'em. Thanks a lot, and I hope you enjoy!

Videos / Iceland Diabolo

Alright so I went to Iceland over April break and decided to film some stuff, just some tricks that only take one attempt, and stuff, the wind made it hard to do things cleanly, but some interesting locations in here, I think it's worth a watch. :)

Oh No! Another Themed video! So this month we decided to have some fun with diabolo again, tricks we can do consistently and easily. Of course we threw in some harder stuff, but Hey, we're only human. Anyway we got some stupid hats, and in no time at all the video was done.(Stupid hats always make time go faster ;) ) Our style in here isn't the best (duh), But whatever, just a fun little video I thought we'd share. Also would like to thank Eric for being in our video (And also for teaching me minicolumns last year). Enjoy!

Here is our video from late January-Early February, I threw some new stuff in there as well a few days ago. A lot more 3d exploration in here. The tricks are decent I guess, I didn't spend all that much time on the editing or music selection, but I think it's still pretty good. Also planning to go back to shorter videos after this... so much easier.

Tricks / I just learnt to... (2008)
« on: January 01, 2008, 01:54:24 PM »
Edit by Sean, November 12 2009:
This is one of many "I just learnt to..." threads which was started by mrbpink back in 2005. Its intended purpose was as follows:

When you learn a new trick you want to show it and tell others that you have achieved something new. This is a thread where you can tell about your latest achievements, doesn't matter if its the string climb or a solid four diabolo shuffle you just learnt, tell us about it! And let others be inspired by what you do!
The original "I just learnt to..." thread wasn the most popular thread on the forum. Long forum threads induce an extra burden on the forum database server, so to keep things running smoothly around here I have started archiving these threads by year.

If you really feel like reading them all, there are about 1000 posts per year (2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005). There may also be more years of threads since this message was written. Have a look around. Otherwise, just post in the most recent version of this thread. It should be near the top of the Tricks section. It almost always is.

Original message follows:

Here is our video for the month of June Filmed over the course of about a week. Features Al, Ethan and Brian of the diabolo bros. This video is a combination of Excalibur and 2D.

Some info: We all began diaboling in December as part of a circus arts gym unit. We were the ones who stood out among the rest, learning whip catches and suicides over tricks like tossing and catching. We have five Members currently: Al, Ethan, Eli, Brian, and Mitchel. 6 months later and after hours of practice everyday, here we are.
