I was just checking out the forum and it got me thinking, whatever happened to the S-fan?
Once such a celebrated trick which now alas seems to have gone down the tubes in the general diabolo community, although I still get asked all the time for fan and s-fan advice, I never see it crop up on the forum so much now.
Quite a while ago now Nev and I pretty much gave up on the S-fan in lew of the 'Forever Fan', but I now notice we use a mixture of both, whilst not chatting about the S-fan anymore, the trick which brought us together as diaboloist's and claimed many a drunken debate over technique and long thoughtful hours of conversation at conventions.
Has the trick became perfect, or is there still work to be done?
And by the way, has anyone ever tried to beat my last s-fan endurance time of 2hrs 34mins and 15secs?
Come on people, who still loves the S-fan? Or better yet, who loves to hate the S-fan?
Lets not let such a fun trick fade into the past, I say an S-fan revival is in order, I mean, for godsake it has its own section in the tricks archive.
Theres my rant, make of it what you will, but theres no denying the s-fan is still a cracking, enjoyable trick.
