Tricks / Questions about learning 3D

Hey,

As my birthday is coming up i am hoping to get a 3rd sundia sun and start trying a bit of 3d.

But first i have a few questions about learning 3d etc.

Is it necessary to learn the hover start before trying to unwrap and go into the shuffle?

Is their any particular point or level of diaboloing you should be at to begin learning 3d or not?

If you could give me your opinions and advice then i would appreciate it

I've just seen some weird and wonderful usernames around the forum and was wondering why and where they came about from..

So in this thread post your username and explain where it came from ect...

7797 - My friend who made my youtube account had '7797' on the end and he made mine the same. I then made my account on here to match.

Tricks / 2 Diabolo 'Intermediate' tricks anyone?

Hey guys, i've been working on my 2d and have got a bit stuck.
Some tricks i can do:

2d mini-genocide
Mini-columns
2d Leg orbits
2d Sprinkler suicide exit
2d Antisuicde

These are some of the best tricks that i can do... but i am interested in learning some combinations and maybe some more 'intermediate' sort of tricks?

Help appreciated (Video's of example mostly please)

Hey,

I was thinking...wouldn't it be cool if there was a section of the forum devoted to 'Diabolo.ca world records' kind of like 'Guiness world records but only for diabolo?! I think it would be a great idea.. and would like to see it happen.

I have been inspired by Richard's 2diabolo sun tutorials and might give it a go on something else.
I am going to make a series of 1 diabolo magic knot tutorials.
But first could you post all the 1 diabolo magic knots you know. (preferably visual video's than explanations)

Hey,

I searched for this topic and couldn't find anything like it anywhere so here the beginning of a new thread.

How do you name your diabolo videos?
It seems that most people name the video out of the following:
The time of year (i.e Winter Time)
The Music used in the video (i.e Tricka Technology)
The backdrop/ scences (i.e Fields)
Has part of the world 'diabolo' in it (i.e Buxtonbolo)
Use of the town/village filmed in (i.e Diabolo in Tampere)
I usually get stuck with what to call my video's... if someone could give me any advise it would be appreciated.

right, this is basically a question about uploading video's to this website. the categories are Practice,tutorials,Performances,Technical, and video's of the week.
So where do full length edited video's go?
if there not practice
dont want to submit for votw
and not a performance?

Hey, i just found this section of the forums and thought, hmmmm what suggestions do i have for making the site better. well the answer was none.

So why not make a magazine!
Diabolo.ca weekly magazine could have pictures, reviews of equipment ect.
It would be awesome!

Just a LITTLE thought but if you would like to see a Diabolo.ca magazine then support this thread
