Gear / Knot Stuck in deos handstick tube
« on: February 26, 2014, 08:42:17 PM »
Crap, So My knot was too small, slipped through the bottom, and got stuck in the tube, but now is lodged there. I used a thin screwdriver to push the top part of the string down, and got the knot almost half way, and not I cant go any further. Any advice?

General / Awesome announcement!
« on: February 21, 2014, 05:11:22 PM »
Hey Guys!
So, I feel like I'm getting annoying with all these posts.
But hey, I love talking to you all so why not?

So, I just recently got picked up by Zeekio!
The yoyo team and the Diabolo Team.

Now, you're probably thinking.
"Zeekio Diabolos suckkkkkk"
And Yes. Yes. I agree. They have SO much more potential. Since I have been designing yoyos etc for a while. I have tried every single diabolo they have, and I gave them advice on what to do, what to change etc. revamp ALL of the diabolos they have.
So they become up to par with all the new companies out there and really make Zeekio a new name!

So, If you guys have suggestions etc, I am the Head designer for Zeekio Diabolos, and the First player on the Diabolo team! Let me know some things you want to see and what not. I WILL see what I can do and hopefully make it happen!

Rock on guys :)

Tricks / "Asian" Infinite Suicides
« on: February 14, 2014, 02:19:24 AM »
So, What I mean by this.Semi racist title
Is Infinite Suicides like, the MHD group and William Wei Liang Lin etc.
The Left handed Unwrapped Infinite Suicide, that decelerates rather than accelerates.

What do you guys think of this? Personally I find these easier to genocide, and are cleaner to get into from a Chinese Acceleration.
But however, I hate the fact It decelerates. I do play left handed sometimes and It's quite fun to screw around with.

Thoughts?

Gear / Bright yellow, and pink string?
« on: January 03, 2014, 11:51:27 PM »
So, This is gonna be a super amateur question.
What Diabolo string is reasonably thick and has a very very bright pink or yellow color?
I love Taibolo string. I really do. But the White color, just isn't bright enough and gets rather filthy.

I've been doing some research and of course Mr. babache has some some lovely colors, but from my old experience they are too grippy for me.
I also found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/131072539877?lpid=82 Which looks rather nice, and is pretty cheap. Looks quite a bit like Henrys yellow.
Now My gripe about Henrys Yellow is the core. I don't like cored strings, due to the core snapping and the string getting "Kinky". Which is why I try and stay away from
Henrys, and Sundia strings.

I also discovered on Renegade Juggling they sell Deos String now, It looks REALLY nice, a bit expensive but my issue is with thickness. I don't like thin strings as much due to the grip level. Fresh Sundia string has a GREAT Grip, and fresh Taibolo White has a perfect stiffness to grip ratio.

So, in conclusion I want something firm, a slightly slipper grip, thicker than henrys by a tad, and coreless if possible.
Anything?

Gear / Currently designing a diabolo
« on: December 14, 2013, 07:07:13 PM »
Hello all!
So most of you, probably don't know me very well.
So I guess I'll start with a slight intro. My name is wilson Ni
And I own a Yoyo co.
https://www.facebook.com/JekyllHydespins
(^Just in case you're interested!)

In any case I've been trying to design my own personal Diabolo and I just hit the wall!
I just realized I am addicted to the Taibolos axle/hub setup.
So, My little blip now is. Is there any place that sells the full axle setup of the Taibolo?
As in pretty much everything except the washers and cups!
If not, what would be the closest thing to use in it's place?

So far the shape is still a work in process
It's something completely different from the usual, rounded circle shape!
I'll be releasing pictures as soon as I am able to get the design in the way I want it to head!

Gear / Light weight Diabolos
« on: November 13, 2013, 01:48:08 AM »
Hello all!
So, I'm yet again back with another question.
I've only played with Asian diabolos currently, and recently got a henrys circus.
Now, I love my Sundia suns, Glary Taibolos and my Circus.
My only issue with the circus and Suns, are the weight.

I'm looking for a light weight diabolo, similar to a taibolo. I say similar, as Taibolos don't seem to feel stable enough.
I was looking at the G4 with the Ultra solutions. and the Circus with the ultra solutions.
Those 2 seem to really stand out to me. I love the way Taibolos feel, they just seem a bit too.. Thin? The walls don't feel thick enough.
My only Gripe with getting either of the 2 diabolos with the Ultra solutions, is where to find them. I obviously would like a Full set of 3-4.
And they seem very hard to find! And rather expensive.

And I noticed Epic A-Dreams getting popular. I read through the reviews etc. My one question is, How do the walls of the Epics feel?
The Weight and other specs seem spot on.

Has anyone tried these babies? I've seen them used in a few performances and they seem super light and darned stable
http://www.renegadejuggling.com/c36/Taiwanese-Wide-Axel-Diabolo-p347.html

Last, Unrelated question. Where would I be able to find a larger roll of Taibolo white string? By far the best string I've had a pleasure of playing.

Every time I post, I feel like I'm whining over new diabolos haha!
I Should really post a video or something. Seriously.

-Wilson.

Gear / I'm Finally back for good! Need help now.
« on: January 31, 2013, 02:46:45 PM »
Hey guys.
Last year I was on here once every 6 or so months and diaboloing much less!
I'm back, but now I realized diaboloing again
My Sundia crystal Suns feel much too heavy and too wide.
And my taibolo string isn't What I'd like in a string anymore.
Yoyoing has changed my preferences.

What string you you recommend for suicides/integrals slacks and body?

What Diabolo is not to wide? I'm thinking finesse.  With a weight kit.
( I love 2D too haha)
And my taibolo short sticks feel fine.

Ideas? Thanks all you! Glad to be back!
