Tricks / Diabolo Challenge Tricks
« on: October 31, 2015, 08:23:36 PM »
I had some really great ideas for tricks that are far past my skill level so I decided I would challenge the people on this forum to try learning them. I will do my best to explain them, feel free to use the new diabolo notation to figure out what these look like.

1 For those of you who like 3 high tricks try doing 3 high and then reverse catch one of the diabolos as it comes down, so you're strings would be crossed. Then as it swings to the other side do a genocide, but as you release the stick, send the diabolo up just as high as the rest of them. Then use the swinging string to catch the next diabolo that comes down in the pattern and continue the high shuffle. This trick can also be done with 2 high.

2.This one is simple, A vertax whip catch.

3.This is another 3D trick and is probably the hardest one. Put a loop around one of the diabolos, then do a 2d shuffle around the diabolo but when a diabolo hits the string let it loop around the stationary diabolo. a better way of putting this is that you are doing 2D arm mini loops, but instead of an arm with a loop around it there is a stationary diabolo.

4.And finally an infinite suicide trick. put a loop around you're diabolo, then take a second pair of hand sticks(If you have any) and loop those around the diabolo.(This next part I am a bit unsure about), throw them all down except one and do a 4 hand stick infinite suicide.

Tricks / Making a routine.
« on: October 19, 2015, 11:08:37 PM »
I am currently working on a routine for a performance, it is my first one and I am having some trouble trying to fill it up with a variety of tricks and combos. I have seen some really great routines from people like Ryo Yabe, Jacob Sharpe and Hiroki Kamei, but I don't really have a specialty, like vertax or those guys that are crazy good at string tricks. If anyone has advice please tell.

Gear / 2D fixed axle or ball bearing?
« on: October 11, 2015, 12:34:47 AM »
I have a Sundia Fly and a Henry Circus, I was planning on getting a second circus because it is very stable and seems like the better option for 2D, but I saw Hiroki Kamei do 2D with a ball bearing diabolo and that has got me wondering. What are your opinions?
