Gear / Re: Your diabolos colors. Why did you choose them?
« on: February 21, 2009, 11:29:37 AM »
I now have 2 fly's, one yellow one purple.
Started with purple, and i noticed yellow is exactly on the other side of the color spectrum, so it's all about the contrast for me....

And if i wanted something that carries six diabolo's i wouldn't be asking for something that i know carries 2.

Gear / Diabolo Bag by MB?
« on: January 05, 2009, 08:14:16 PM »
So i found some diabolo bags on the jugglingstore, but i think the shipping costs are too much for just a bag.
Then i found out that they sell   that bag in a store closer to me. Now what i wanna know, is because i don't use Finesses, do they hold 2 other diabolo's as well? I use Fly's, does anyone have it? And does it only exactly fit 2finesse's? 'Cause well, Finesse's aren't very wide and all...
Thanks :)

lol @ not for climbing use sign.
Proper carabeeners cost a lot though

You don't need proper ones to hang your diabs from though in my opinion :P

I used my finesse glow at school camp. In a completely dark room. In front of 3 classmates on acid.
Not a weird place, weird situation though!

My carbons just came in for my birthday, Henry's. LOVE THEM!

just to clarify the left arm movement instead of lifting to the right to bring it over the shuffle lift towards the left and that will let the diabolo pop up btw albertt your minicolumns look a lot prettier than mine

Please, use reading marks, i had to read it five times...
anyway, really nice tutorials, it's that i don't have 2 diabs, else i'd be practising now. Oh yeah, does playing with Fly's make this kind of stuff different?

no improvements in terms of diabolo, but I restarted juggling 2 days ago and finally I have a solid 3ball cascade
I know it's not that much, but I'm not talentaed at all :P
Sure you are, at least you don't drop them (:

Yes, I think there was 10x normal gravity or something, so that would make things harder...
imagine how string behaves there...

Tricks / Re: Help with Japanese Whip!
« on: September 01, 2008, 08:59:38 PM »
One mistake I've noticed people make when learning this trick is that they move their left hand away at the same time as whipping with the right. This pulls the slack loop closed, making it harder to catch the cup.
So, if you're having problems making a large loop, make sure that your left hand does not move.

Actually, now you mention it i might be doing that! Thanks a lot, i'll go practise tomorrow. If there's any progress it'll be in "I just learnt to..." :P

Makes sense. Can you tell i'm a latin/germanic kind of guy.

Athenata sounds wayyy cooler than athenae, too.
Its ok diabolowho, i actually have a friend who's mastered 3d using "athenata".

Hahaha, people are using it.
So, what's this athena? never heard of it! Sounds....well rubbery really =.=;

I have a luminous one, because it kicks ass, that's my MB Finesse.
And i have a purple fly. I was thinking green, but i play on the grass. Then sky blue, but -as it says- sky. So i was doubting between pink and purple, thought "i'm not THAT gay!" and bought the purple one. simple.

first a cheap one, then two harlequin-like things from my bro's girlfriend, then my first finesse, and now a sundia fly. i love the last 2.

I use an MB Finesse and a Sundia Fly both pretty equally, and use my henry's alu for both, really. I love the length, love the weight (lighter would make stick releases harder i think), but i haven't ever played with anything else...I wanna try carbon, but i don't know if they let you do that at the shop....
