A weekend of fun, great shows, skill workshops, camping, games and a lively atmosphere for circus enthusiasts and absolute beginners! Come along and see some of Europe's best contemporary acts at the Kettle of Fish cabaret followed by a fire show in The Hawth grounds. It's a relaxed environment and has become known as the 'Friendly Festival'. This year's theme is Steampunk so feel free to dress up as there will be a fancy dress competition on Sunday!

Hello, I'm Rosie :) Twenty-something based in southern England (UK). Been doing circus skills for a long time but want to get better at diabolo!

1. How many years have you diaboloed for? I have been able to do diabolo itself since I was a teenager

2. What or who got you started? Local circus summer school

3. What do you like best about the diabolo or juggling in general? It's a neverending challenge and I just love the feeling of finally learning a new trick!

4. How many hours a day do you diabolo on average? Not enough!

5. Do you ever perform with the diabolo? Not yet

6. Do you juggle other props? If so: balls, clubs, rings, cigar boxes, devil sticks... ? Now that this question has come up, diabolo is not really my main prop but I do admire it a lot and want to improve. I juggling balls rings and clubs, I do poi most of the time and generally an all-round jack-of-all trades

7. What are your favourite diabolos, sticks, and string? Henry's diabolo, can't remember where the sticks and string are from

8. Do you like working with 1, 2, or 3 diabolos the best? Only on one at the moment

9. What is your favourite diabolo trick that you can do? Not yet skilled enough to answer this :<

10. What is the most amazing diabolo trick you've ever seen done? Oh goodness, I remember seeing Jonny Future years ago and he really blew me away

11. What tricks are driving you nuts right now (what are you working on)? Currently trying to get the basic tricks down

12. What other diaboloists have inspired you? He's probably mentioned all the time but Donald Grant is coool
