Oh and also, on another note. Are the G3's better than the G2's?

Long time no see, D.ca!

After having mainly juggled for quite a lot of years now, and a surgery in my right wrist, I've still managed being booked to perform at a juggling convention. I was thinking it was time to buy new diabolos for the show, and of course I am looking at the evos.

The only thing I'm wondering is whether the hard or soft cups are the best? It seems that soft cops is a newer addition by Sundia but is it even better?

Cheers!

Daniel Dodson actually did this back in 2009 with fixed axles from shuffle, and managed to get it without collisions as well. Unfortunately the video isn't available anymore.

It's most definitely bearings... most of this stuff wouldn't be anything near possible with fixed able diabolos.

Community & Events / Belfast Juggling Convention 2016 - Report
« on: February 15, 2016, 08:41:44 PM »
So sitting on the train home after a flight from Belfast, I figured I might as well do the old "High - Low - Goal - Crush - Bane" thingy.

Highs:
      - A great venue for the convention, and a great place to stay during closed hours
      - Stayed in Ireland for 5 days without experiencing rain even once
      - Met Graham and even got to jam with him a bit even though he was running around being an important organizer
      - Smoking close to a million cigarettes with Tim Schulze
      - Managed to not drown myself in Guinness and Buckfast completely
      - Improved on both my 7 balls and 4 diabolo hover start!
      - The whole freakin galla show
      - Meeting a lot of Irish diaboloists I had never heard about before

Lows:
      - Completely missed out on the sunday's games and fight night tournament due to sleeping late
      - Renegade ended too early for me to demonstrate my 30 minute routine of props taped together
      - Being asked about 40 times if I was performing in the galla show, but having to tell people that it was Tim who was performing

Goals:
      - Actually try to progress and get a bit of motivation to practice juggling and diabolo further... Check!
      - Don't drink myself into the state of not being able to juggle due to hangovers... Semicheck!
      - Attend a workshop... a very "devilstickdiaboloing at the same time" check!
      - Don't scare people away from being interested in the Danish Juggling Convention next year... Check?

Crushes:
      - The handsome German phenomenon that is Tim and his galla show act
      - Julian Sæthers 7 ball 7 up 360 and 9 ball flash on stage
      - Lewis Kennedy and Jon Peat passing... need I say more?

Bane:
      - The renegade ending so very very early due to the venue having to close down

All in all a fantastic convention, and I'll be happy to come to Ireland again sometime!

Really cool video and lovely scenery :)

Favorite was part of the body combo around 1.05.

You've got a nice style, but you seem to rush it a bit. Relax a little more and it's going to look really good.

Just to let you know... I'm bookmarking this thread so I can reply to it in 2 years.  :P
"A useless one-sentence reply."

This might just be the best thing to ever happen on this forum.

There are several songs in this :) You might want to specify which of them you would like to know.

God damn it... WHY DIDN'T I GO?

Highlights of video 4:

The great ways of mighty arm moves from the almighty Finnish Wizard of all of the colors, Samuli.

Minute long sexy dance-off.

Disappointment of video 4:

The disturbing continuous lack of Gammel Dansk

Hey MBG4,
How long did it take you to learn 3D
I have been working on it for 8 painful moths and my best record was at least 10 catch's, is this normal?

Buddy, some people on this forum have been trying to learn 3D for more than half of your entire life ;) Learning 3d isn't a linear progress at all. One day, you just kinda crack the code and start doing +30 otts.

But yes, I would say that you can't shuffle 3d properly before you can do 100 otts. That is kinda my milestone. Just like i can get 50-ish catches of 5 rings, but I don't consider myself as being able to juggle 5 rings.

Congratulations, and nice shuffle!

@MBg4
Thanks, but I don't really get what you are trying to say about the sticks. I am using deos carbon, but I have made the grip a little bit longer because the standard length of it when it is delivered is too short in my opinion. Maybe that is why they look a little weird ;).

As I understood what he wrote, he's referring to how you normally hold henry's carbons in your previous videos. You used to hold them a little less in the middle than most people, and your grip on the DEOS seems to be more plain and in the middle of the stick.

Nice video as well!
