the convention was great but quite short for my since i got there at about 1pm and had to leave for tech at 5ish.
the show was great, probably the best ever Leeds show. mine and Zack's routine went quite bad at the beginning but i think we redeemed it at the end. Tiff was on fire that night i cant believe how much his performing has improved over just one year.

I've just got a new camera so i took hundreds of photos, nearly 1000 but i narrowed it down to about 100 or so.

please leave comment's, i would like to know what you think of them

Community & Events / Guinness World Record
« on: July 13, 2007, 09:41:45 PM »

There was a new world record set today for the most diabolos thrown and caught at the same time. I'm not sue of the exact amount but it will probably be around 600.

The story

Me and Zack got an e-mail about a month ago from a governor of a school in Sussex asking us to be the guests of honor. I'll just let you read it

Zack / Marc

Firstly, congratulations on your placings at the WJF UK open. Then onto ‘why on earth is this strange woman you’ve never heard of emailing you’ …

I’m a school governor of Manor Field School in Burgess Hill (Sussex) and we have 600 completely diabolo-mad children, ranging from 4-year-olds who can just about get it spinning to a 9-year-old who can do two on one string. We’re trying to capitalise on the children’s enormous enthusiasm and we’ve managed to persuade Guinness World Records to set up a new record especially for us – ‘most people to toss and catch a diabolo at the same time’. We’re going to stage the event to set the first ever record at 2pm on Friday 13th July and we wondered whether either (both?) of you would fancy being guest of honour at the event. I’m afraid that (as we’re only an ordinary state primary school) we can’t offer performing fees but I would (personally) pay train fares etc if you were able to make it.

Please consider it – it would mean SO much to the children.

Best Regards

Karen Ashworth

I thought it was a bit strange but i still wanted to go, but i wasn't allowed but Zack went and he said the had a good time, maybe he can spread some light on it when he gets back.

I'm sorry it's a bit late for anyone who wanted to go but i completely forgot about it until yesterday.

does this mean diabolo is going main stream? like with the yospin.

(wow, my longest post ever)

I got an email the other day via youtube which said

We think your video is really great. We are starting a diabolo website called . We want to showcase an amateur video compilation which we will put onto a DVD. Would you give us permission to use your video?

right i thought nothing off it until i went on the website and clicked on the getting started link on the left hand side. This took me to
Now this i found rather odd, They refereed to a diabolo as a yospin

This is the first time i have heard a diabolo called this.
Is that what they call them state side??
Ive never known a diabolo to be called a yospin

This is marc's brother Chris posting on his account.

i was talking to Tempei about it the other day and if i remember correctly it is Norbi. Zack and his twin josh tried to get on the show but didn't make it which is weired because some of the people who were on LMEY are rubbish.

wouldn't it be easier if you could just insert the HTML code into the reply, so it would be possible to put videos from other sites like stage 6 and google video on to the forum.

Performances / William at BJC
« on: April 30, 2007, 07:57:29 PM »
here is a video of William at the BJC renegade, it was a themed on eurovision, where you had to pick a year out of a hat and you had to perform to the song that United Kingdom sang to. there was, i think, 20 people in the crowed with red cards and when 11 went up you were eliminated. the person who lasted the longest won. William won with a run of over 16 minuets.

sorry about the spelling mistake in the title of the video.

Hope you enjoy it

no i could never break William's arms, he's such a nice guy, and he gave me his sticks he performed with.
i can now say i am officially 3rd in the world, but i doubt it's true. it was a great convention, very well planed out and the WJF was a good touch. the show was amazing, get the shoe and William stole the show and Dietz's poi routine was a unexpected. overall it was a great convention
