Indeed it was a great day. I'm afraid I can't remember the name of the first french performer but his ball act was fantastic.

On the subject of diabolo though, the 2 cups... performances were great, and Vux's Excalibur gen whilst laying down was bloody brilliant.

The worst thing about the day was the bouncers in the union/theatre.

Out of interest: what diabolos are you using?

Another I like is where 1 diab is wrapped normally on the floor with the second to the right hand side with both touching. you simply pull your strong hand up and you're instantly in a speed wrap, then speed the second up. If you get me.

It was me that broke Jammy's first stick there. I was merely doing an infinite suicide run when the free stick hit the grass we were playing on and the handle end of the stick flew off!

All I can say is that I'm disappointed with Babache sticks.

I'm struggling to find a word other than 'awesome'. I'm sorry because you must be getting sick of that word by now.

Fantastic video, excellent flow and style and the music wasn't too bad either.

Brilliant job there.

Tricks / Loop excalibur/vertax
« on: April 14, 2006, 01:53:49 PM »
I just use an old loop of Henrys yellow which is dirty as sin. These things might also depend on the diabolo I'm using. I have a choice between Finesse, circus and Babache Micro (which is what I used to use when I only did loop).

I was thinking about the whole hoola hoop thing earlier but I need to make a longer loop first (and maybe practice a bit of hoola dancing).

Does anyone have any ideas on tricks for excalibur in a loop?
I decided to pick up my loop and play a little this morning. I found out that it's pretty easy to get into the vertical position but all I seem to be able to do is keep it going round in a circle, so I am looking for any inspiration or input into this topic.

All help welcome.

Great video. I'm loving excalibur at the minute. Just need a space large enough to try it properly.

Really liked the pirouette to behind the back 2 high.

Good stuff.

I don't think firetoys are stocking the new ones yet, they seem to only have the new coloured gripped energy's and the older extremes. have them I think but I'm not sure about postage and such.

Tricks / Do I have a new trick?
« on: April 07, 2006, 03:23:31 PM »
I've seen Jimmy's trick and can only partly describe it. It's almost like a double-or-nothing but popped up into the cradle at the last second.

I've never seen it done before but to be honest I wouldn't be too surprised if it had been.

Sorry James.
