some members of the digg community are almost as insulting and ignorant as youtube's, but at least they dugg you! It is a very useful site though

I'd be careful about claiming copyright infringement. Granted, they didn't have permission to use your video, but did you have permission to use the postal service's song ??? just a thought

Gear / Re: MB Energy Luminous LED handsticks - available now
« on: June 02, 2007, 01:25:39 PM »
I received my pair yesterday, I haven't had a change to play with them in the dark much so i'll just do a mini review. I might try and get some photos next week.

Pros
They look good in the dark
They are rechargeable
The turning on mechanism is quite cool, no accidental turn offs
MB sell spare parts for them in case they break

Cons
Very very very heavy, I can barely do a standard suicide with them, let alone genocides and infinites
The LED pod is thicker than the rest of the stick, so there's a big bulge at the bottom

Flexible - Some people like flexible sticks, I don't. They also feel like they may break if used too aggressively, the instructions even say don't drop them
Good string tying mechanism (same as other energy sticks)

Summary

Look good, play bad. They're great for on-stage glo routines and night street shows but you are limited to what tricks you can do (stick releases). These would never be your only sticks, and you certainly wouldn't want to practice with them. I haven't tried olobaid's sticks so sadly I can't compare them.

Vux has been taken off the show list and workshop list. Does anyone know if he's still going to be there?

--EDIT-- : -- Just got an email reply from the organisers and Vux has cancelled --

firetoys.com is my fave.

I've used butterfingers and beard a lot before, but the friendliness and unbelievable delivery speed of firetoys makes it my favourite now.

All three are good, butterfingers actually supply firetoys with most of their juggling stuff. I tend to go for butterfingers nowadays, if you phone them they usually ship the same day and if the postman does his job you can get stuff the next day!

Spreadshirt (the company that makes all the d.ca merchandise) do lots of other things like teddy bears, stickers, badges, baseball caps, mousemats, mugs, bags, lanyards and even umbrella's so there's quite a lot of new stuff sean could add to the merchandise range

Making diabolo equipment would'nt be successful because there's already lots of good juggling stores online
