Since the app is no longer supported, i've made a webpage instead (which I probably should have done in the first place. Sorry iPhone users)

I'll look into it. It seems to be a bit more complicated for ios.

Hey guys! I thought some of you might be interested in this. It's pretty limited in what it does but it looks pretty nice for siteswaps with large numbers. It doesn't do feeds and there are a few things that look weird like 1 suns and high 2s. Some of the issues are a result of starting with a different project and at some point derailing it and turning it into this. It should look 'ok' on most android phones but trying to make it look pretty for different screen sizes was a challenge as i'm new to this.

You should be able to download it from here but you'll probably need to enable installation of unknown apps.

I'm still working on it so let me know if you come across any issues.

I think the bearing discussion was in response to the video before it though right? Not the fan flip.

Personally, deos for sure.
They seem to have the right balance of weight, length, width, flexibility and comfort for any number of diabolos.

Can confirm

I will definitely be getting Evos again though. I've heard great things about the G2s and Evos are my favourite diabolos by far (followed by Epics, then Taibolos).

The throw is pretty consistent, controlling the grind is probably the worst bit. I'll have to give it a shot.

One last thing, to Tyson. What did your break look like? how much or would you even practice diabolo at all?

From memory I would go weeks without touching it, and when I did I would rarely try 4.

Eventually the motivation came back. I think the break was for the best. It allowed me to come back with more motivation and creativity.

I feel you. After spending countless hours learning 4 and not doing much else, I lost a lot of motivation. I think there is really only 2 things you can do:

1. Have a break. Just leave it for a while. Get into juggling or something, or just focus on something else you enjoy. I recently had several months off, and now I'm quite motivated to get more creative with 3 and improve with 4.

2. Find new tricks you like, and learn them. Don't just go through the motions of old tricks. Love for diabolo comes from improving and feeling accomplishment when you land something new. Find what it is that made you enjoy diabolo initially.

I hope this helps. I think we all go through this stage at some point, but these are the main things that keep me going and get me motivated, even if it means taking a break for a while.

I may have to reconsider the difficulty of the trick.

I know there are several forum members who could do this without too much difficulty, (Sebi, I'm looking at you) but if nobody gets it soon I'll choose something easier.

I'm glad to see there is some interest in the idea. I wouldn't want it to deter possible participants.

Videos / Forum Wide Diabolo Challenge

Hello Forum!

I'm always interested in challenging myself and other people to diabolo tricks and I thought, instead of challenging particular people, why not make a forum wide challenge in which everyone can participate?

Here's something basic I came up with, (423423423*3*)

Please feel free to participate. It will just work in a similar way to the 'Name the video' thread created by Sebi. Film yourself doing the trick, and create a new one for the next person.

This may work better if we separate it into different threads (vertax, 3d, integrals etc) but I'll leave that up to the rest of you. I hope this interests some people, I would love to see what we can come up with as a forum.

Thought I'd just point out that Sebi started that feed with a btb shuffle.
