General / busking
« on: August 08, 2012, 07:47:39 PM »
hey people, i haven't posted here in a long time, but I'd like to ask you all something.  i have recently started busking in my local city, Glasgow, Scotland.  I've found the perfect spot to do it and I'm making a semi-decent amount of money from it.  I have two other friends, both bagpipers who also busk, and they can make £30-35 an hour (about $43-48 i think) whereas i am only making about £10 ($15 - 20 i think) an hour.  i was wanting to ask if many of you guys busk, and what kind of things do you do while doing it, as I'm trying to think of ways to maybe involve the crowd to try make more.  do you people have any ideas?
Thanks a lot, Deo

im in the same situation as you.  i want to learn some exits from whip catch aswell.  as for entries, half suns, trapeses and magic nknot combos look nice with a 2 handed whip catch in it every now and then.

i agree with mushi, i got a pair of mr babache short carbon contrast handsticks and i really like them.  they have a great feel, and i really like thm for suicides, and also they dont give you calluses unless you use them for an exessive ammount in one day.
if i were you i'd go for them

the thing is theirs no juggling shops anywhere near where i live so i cant try anything... im most likely going to buy the g3s, i just wanted some more advice.

edit: can you fit the evo kits onto the g3s or just the g4s?
For the wieghts for the 10 g ones would that make the diabolo 20g heavier and for 6g 12g heavier?
Would you reccomend the weight kits?

hey guys im stuck with a problem here. i own two henrys jazz diabolos and i would like to move up to better ones.  i heard that g3s are very good, but ive heard the v2s are also good.  i want to by 2 diabolos, and ive found somewhere where i cant by 2 g3s for £25 which i would like to spend, and if i buy 2 v2s that would cost 50.  from what ive heard the v2s seem to be better, but i dont really want to spend £50, and i would much rather spend £25 on the g3s.  some advice please?

im more leaning towards the g3 for the price, but i really like the look of the v2s.

and also how do they differ from the henrys jazz ive already got?.

stunning video.  i loved the simplicity of it.  very impressive style and tricks too. just out of curiosity, are you a dancer? the way you move along side the tricks makes it seem like you are.
